It is possible that you were excited by God's favor or anointing in his or her life but more than likely we are attracted to what WE SEE. Hmmm.... you seen right.
Look Inside (And quit jumping so fast. If, God meant that person to be with you...then WATCH GOD MOVE.

(Oh my this could be a trip right here.) Their lifestyle behind "closed" doors is nothing to call home to mama or daddy about......their bad habits...The other people in their lives that you don't about......whether married or dating more than just you?...People who don't want nothing from life except for somebody else to pick up the baggage and take care of them while you work your poor fingers to the "tired" bone. Wow...the list could go on. But, won't for the time being ((smiles)).
The exterior of a house is defined as the façade. Just like when we are attracted to a person our first impression of a home is made by what we see on the outside. My brothers and sisters we could get in trouble with this one.
Ever heard the ol' saying that everything that glitters ain't gold?
Just because the exterior paint is fresh and the lawn is well groomed does not mean that the house is not infested with termites.

It is important that we take a look within the house before we buy it....Likewise we need to do the same if we are going to consider a relationship with that person we are attracted to.
It is important that we not only take a look within others but in OURSELVES as well.
We start by understanding that we have a personality, character, and temperament to consider before we enter into any
relationship.
You want to be clear on everything and not just pick on the other but look good and hard concerning you too.
Our personality is the conscious self that we display in public. Have you ever gone on a car lot and the salesman approached with a warm smile and greeting?
Did he or she really like you or was the salesman trying to sell you a car? What you witnessed was their personality that is superficial and has very little to do with their heart--------deep within.
Character is the subconscious self that we display under pressure over time. (Pay attention now....)
A tea bag does not know what flavor it is until it experience a significant change through being placed in boiling water.
Likewise, there needs to be a change in environment and circumstance before we can go beyond the personality to character.
Temperament is the subconscious self that God created us to be.
Imagine this: two toddlers are in a playpen and one takes the other's toys while the other sits and cries. It is likely that the aggressive child has a dominant temperament and the child that sits by crying has a passive temperament that he or she will likely take into adulthood.
When we meet people our excitement should be muted because what we have met is their personality not their character. (Lord, open up the eyes...open up the hearts)
In the beginning people are generally on their best behavior ...BUT over time THEIR TRUE SELF will be exposed. (Now..that's pretty scary)
A chameleon may be different colors depending on its environment but its color does not change the fact that it is a lizard. Whether our temperament is dominant or passive or if we are an introvert or an extrovert our temperament has bearing on our relationships just like our personality and character.
If we ask God to reveal our personality, character, and temperament that understanding will help us to make better choices in our relationships.
