     First encounters

Breathless, tired and hungry. Early morning, maybe about six, Kyle left the house. He didn't want to go, but would arrive at work to an angry boss tomorrow if he didn't. He looked over at the front door as he backed out of the driveway. Then waved to the lovely brunette who had just robbed him of his sleep, his body, and maybe his future.

He met her a year ago in an art class he took two evenings a week at the community college. April was her name, and she was as fresh as spring. Especially last night, their first night together.

“I'll call you later.” He called out to her from the car. She blew him a kiss and he pretended to catch it then drove off. As soon as he took a break he phoned her. Then again at noon and at five thirty, when he got home.

“Hi.”

“Hi....Would you like me to pick you up for class tonight.”

He hoped last night was the beginning of something wonderful. They had flirted and danced around each other for several months now. He was forty and single, and finding the right woman had thus far been a difficult road. Every subject he and April talked about was agreeable. Politics, religion, music, books, movies. Even down to liking PBJ sandwiches without the J. They became friends, and not wanting to rush things, last night had been long awaited.

She answered, “I would love it if you picked me up for class tonight.”

“Have you had dinner?”

“No, not yet.”

He asked, “Can I pick you up early so we can have it together.”

“Yes. That would be nice. Where to?”

“Something fast so we won't be late. Uh....How bout the little taco place near school?”

“Sounds good. Half hour okay?”

“Alright a half hour.”

Anxious, Kyle showered, then stood in front of the bathroom mirror wrapped in his towel. He admired what the last year of eating right and vigorous work outs had reflected on his body. Particularly his chest and arms. Quickly he threw on jeans and t-shirt, grabbed his sketch pad and hopped into the car. On the ten minute drive to April's house his mind flashed in and out of the night before. Hoping to have a replay sometime very soon.

He knocked on the door. She opened it, there she stood her thick black hair pinned up in a French Roll, with curly bangs over her forehead. She was wearing foxy dark blue jeans and a pink sweat shirt two sizes too big. It read “100% Woman.” The collar was cut off and it revealed her tanned shoulders. He shook his head trying to forget tasting them last night.

“Hi, come on in. I'll grab my stuff.”

As she walked away in instinct he stared. “You look great.” He said.

April walked back toward him smiling, “Thank you.” She moved closer and looked up at him. Her lip gloss smelled like fruit punch. Uncontrollably he kissed her.

She kissed him back, dropping her portfolio to the floor.

He wrapped his arms around her, kicked his foot back closing the door.

“Wait.” She sighed in passion, “Dinner, the class. We'll be late.”

Pecking kisses at each other, he held on to her face.

Their bodies one in motion, he backed her into the dining room.

They knocked over dishes and chairs, he tripped over the broom.

He pulled off her sweat shirt that read one hundred percent.

Verified that was true , and got drunk from her scent.

Tearing off jeans and shirts, calling out each others name.

Admiring the human body, neither felt ashamed.

She lay herself across the table, reached up and pulled him down.

He put himself inside of her, hypnotized by the sound.

April brushed back her bangs, that in sweat were now straight

Kyle moved up and down feeling the connection of his soul's mate.

“Lets go to the couch or the room.” He whispered in her ear.

Then got up taking her hand, they headed up the stairs.

At the door before he turned, she licked him up the spine.

He inhaled deeply as she caressed his pecs from behind.

Near the bed she pushed him back and crawled on top of him.

She held his manhood just so right, a few teases then slid him in.

Up and down, over and side ways, perfect love awakened

“They say, it's never as good as the first time.” He thought.

“Except for maybe the second.”

Sophia, I really love what I've read of your work thus far. Truely wonderful! This one happened to catch my eye :-) so glad I stopped by to read it. It's apparent that you're mastering the art of poetry as well and as a lover of writing in every form I am glad to have come across something so entertaining. Continue what you're doing!

I'll second that! You have reflections of romance that overide explicit eroticism. Many times we hype things up that are erotic in a love scence but your writing remains true to what's special about the joining of two beings. That is them having love for one another first and not just having a motion on the outside but a motion on the inside that goes deeper than a man into a woman. I think the Doctors call it a Heartbeat, the very origin of Love within two hearts.
