Sandy is a really interesting guy. At first, I thought he was too young to have played with Bo Diddley. But the video convinced me. The bit with Johnny Carson was priceless. I always thought that there was a bit of preplanning for those seemingly audience picks in random. And that was more hair than I ever recall. It was a good song, too.

I never thought much about drummers except that they pounded out a beat. I actually prefer a cappella, or a guitar that can play a melody where you almost can hear the words. When I went to concerts, I hated it when there was a drum solo that went on and on and on. Wanting to get back to the music.

My nephew grew up in Madison schools. He is a drummer with a band that he started with in high school. Unfortunately, I never got to see him play.

My favorite drummer is Don Henley. Not for his drumming. Got to see him once on his own away from the Eagles.
