Chairwoman points to the guy in a blue suit… “And you, Sir, Mr. Tam, are one of them.”
Mr. Tam: “What? Don’t slander me! Have you got any proof?”
Chairwoman: “Of course! Here is the evidence. The record shows that you receive bribes from Mr. Clarington every month; and each month you also transfer a partial sum of money to Mr. Ray of the Feng Group to cover the shipments of inferior merchandise. You, Mr. Clarington, and Mr. Ray are the culprits who caused this 250M loss! You must refund the money that you received from Mr. Clarington to our company. You must leave, NOW! G-u-a-r-d-s!”
*** Next, Chairwoman walks to Mr. Clarington ***
… “And YOU, Mr. Clarington! You are my auntie’s husband. How dare you sabotage our company? How dare you try to bring me down?”
*** Fear is now written all over Mr. Clarington’s face ***
Mr. Clarington: “I’m doomed… Am I going to jail too?”
Chairwoman: “No, I will not send you to jail, but you must face your punishment. As of now, you are fired from your Director’s position, and Derek Kwong of the Sales Department will replace you. You must refund the 12.5 million you stole from the company. Now, please leave! G-u-a-r-d-s!”
*** Chairwoman returns to her seat and talks to the other shareholders ***
“With the traitors gone, we can now revive the Wang Group. Our company will recover the 250 million dollar loss, and we will prosper once again. Thank you, everyone, for your support!”
I really confused how the bribery resulted in a loss by transferring small amounts. If criminal activity occurred, the culprits should be prosecuted, not just fired from my directors post.
The chair woman certainly seemed in charge of the situation.
