That was a really revealing podcast. I don’t know who Ana Murby really is, but my brief view of her (thanks for the clip) leads me to believe that she is very naïve and caught up in the cult of Christ, like so many unassuming souls that somehow I think simply believing will save them from themselves.

My early upbringing was Congregational and Presbyterian. In high school, we attended Melvin Laird’s father’s church and my mother was a lifelong Republican. In college I was, president of an ecumenical Christian group. Introduced to civil rights and opposition to the Vietnam War.

The only honest conversation that I ever had with Christians was with theologians. They both tended to be open minded and critical of Christianity the way that religions use it. Made it easy for me to become an atheist, while I still adhere to many Christian values and the Golden Rule.

While Murby may be an expert on scripture, I was shocked at her admission of being apathetic about politics and her method of voting based on who she “listens to.” A sure way to get the wrong information. I wish you had asked her why she wouldn’t vote for a black woman democrat for president. I’d like to hear her answer. She seems like a good candidate for a cult. I recall my younger brother telling me how wonderful Rush Limbaugh was as he listened to him on the radio every day. When I told my brother that Rush was a pompas ass, he hung up on me and voted for Trump.

I knew what kind of person Donald Trump was by watching all 10 seasons of The Apprentice. At first, I thought it was great that he was giving bright young people job opportunities at a high level. But that soon degenerated into him bringing in celebrities and then browbeating them to give to charities and play favorites to the point where it made me sick. As you clearly point out, we are very close to a dictatorship if the public doesn’t wake up to what he has been doing ever since day one in office.

I’m watching him pontificate tonight. Boycotting won’t bring him down. He has to be impeached and convicted.
