The oldest son in a large family tells us what he wants for Christmas and why.
I would love to have a HUMMER myself, but the ONLY HUMMERS I can afford are those of the Matchbox variety! LOL
I may be 16 years old now (old enough to learn to drive and get a learner's permit!), but if I want any kind of car, it would have to be a HUMMER.
In fact, that is exactly what I want for Christmas: a HUMMER. (Preferably black, pewter grey, OR red. Or maybe even orange, like my friend's HUMMER.)
I think HUMMERS are cool; my mom's friend, Roberto Sormiento and his wife, M'buti, have a HUMMER, and I have ridden in it, and MAN, you talk about COOL! Their HUMMER is orange, and riding in that thing is sorta' like riding in a TANK, it's so wide and roomy! It is also very smooth in terms of riding on the road, and you really can see out the windows! And MAN, you talk about FEATURES...their HUMMER is FULLY LOADED, and you can't BELIEVE some of the stuff it's got in there! The ONLY bad thing about the HUMMER is it really doesn't get that good of gas mileage; it is MASSIVE, and it takes a lot of dough just to fill up the gas tank! It also is mondo expensive: fully loaded, a HUMMER can cost nearly as much as a HOUSE! (The ONLY reason Roberto and M'buti HAVE a HUMMER is because Roberto entered a contest back in July, where military personnel were eligible to win a HUMMER, and Roberto Sormiento happened to be the lucky guy who got the HUMMER! So the HUMMER was GIVEN to him; and he really loves it!)
Mama thinks I am totally insane in wanting a HUMMER, but she knows I love cars, especially now that I am a teenager, and I think that would be so cool having a car like the HUMMER. I can just see it all now: me toolin' around town in a HUMMER; man, the chicks would be FIGHTING for a chance to ride in my HUMMER! I also would be getting a lot of attention from the popular crowd, and that is something I think I can handle! She says why don't I think of getting a sensible car like maybe a Grand Am or a SlugBug (both get much better gas mileage than that of a HUMMER, according to both mama and daddy), but I think the SlugBug looks dorky (it looks like a pregnant rollerskate!), and the GrandAm is just not my style. I like the HUMMER because it is so cool lookin'. It is very wide of body, and when it is lit up at night, it looks just like a freakin' Christmas tree. You definitely can tell a HUMMER once you see one, and whenever I see a HUMMER, I am like, SWEET! Man, I surely would love to have one of THOSE babies for Christmas; MAN, you talk about one AWESOME Christmas present!
Yeah, a HUMMER would definitely be MY idea of a GREAT Christmas present!
Smart boy, Karen! And I hope you don't mind, I'm leaving this story lying about where my wife can find it. Hint, Hint, Hint!! All I want for Christmas is one of these, too. And she'll probably get me the Matchbox one, too. Bummer, just a tiny Hummer!
LOL at the earnest expectations of ahn kim...it would probably be safe for him to drive (but watch out, other drivers LOL) but the cost of insurance GEEZ probably off the chart LOL
adored this write, karen--hope ahn kim gets his HUMMER!
