It had been a wonderful two years since Selleck and Lela were wed. They had two healthy children that were spoilt by everyone for they were sweet and lovely. Moseck, the first born, was named after Selleck's father. Lydia was their daughter and looked like her mother.
Selleck's thoughts were heavy as of late. He remembered what Antony II had said and knew that it had been almost five years. He didn't want his land destroyed by a war. His scouts came back from Nunn and told him of the massive army that had been gathered and was in training.
Today was the day the willow tree wept and Seleck went to the garden. He remembered the story if why it was so and prayed for wisdom to stop the war that was coming. He felt in his heart a peace and knew what he needed to do.
He sent for his advisor and told him what he had decided. His advisor knew it was wise but hated to see it come to this. He watched both boys grow into men and loved them. He called for a runner to carry the letter to King Antony II.
The runner left and as soon as he entered the kingdom of Nunn he was captured, beaten, and taken to the castle. He was thrown into the dungeon and the letter was taken to Antony. As his advisor read it to him he thought.
My dearest brother,
It has been almost five years since
you left us. I have mourned the
loss of your companionship every day.
You seem to still believe you were wronged.
I have been praying for you. If you still
insist on wanting my kingdom I have a
proposition for you. I don't wish to see
my kingdom ravaged by war. It profits
neither of us. I am suggesting a hand
to hand combat between you and I. The
victor takes both kingdoms. Please
send your response in care of my messenger
as soon as possible.

"Pha... he signs it my brother! What think you, advisor?"
"My Lord, it seems that there are many advantages to this combat. The land you desire would be unspoiled, you will humilate this brother you despise, and you have physical advantage. "I agree! However, add that it will be to the death. Write the response and send for that runner," Antony II commanded.
The advisor bowed and left to do his bidding, smiling eagerly. He hated the king for Antony II was a cruel king and often had subjects and even royalty punished for minor offenses, even putting some to death. Now the advisor could see his chance to rid them of the king.
