A young girl wants to be a singer, too, just like her favorite singer, country music legend, Loretta Lynn. She writes why she respects Loretta Lynn and what she has learned from her.
You are probably well aware by now that I want to be a country singer. I have always had this dream, ever since I was very small.
I remember listening to the Grand Ole Opry and to the classic country station on the radio, and I grew up hearing the songs by people like Tammy Wynette, Merle Haggard, George Jones, and a woman who would, ultimately, become my very favorite singer, Loretta Lynn. I thought Loretta Lynn had a very pretty voice when she sang, and I liked the songs she sang. I also liked that she overcame poverty and hardship to become a country music legend. She had spunk and determination, and it wasn't long before I realized that she and I had a lot in common with one another. Like Loretta, I had spunk (as maman often said!), and I also had determination. I wasn't afraid to try my very best, and nothing was going to stop me from reaching my dream to become a star!
Now I am older, and my dream is still burning brighter than ever! I still want to be a country singer, and I want to be a person as well known (or well loved) as Loretta Lynn!
I have performed at many festivals and fairs around the south, and I have even performed at places like the Grand Ole Opry (I remember the first time I sang there, only because I got so scared I threw up!) and on the tv show, "Star Search" earlier this year. (I lost. But I still had a BLAST!) I have shared the stage with some of my very favorite country singers. I even got to sing with Loretta Lynn, and all I was worried about was messing up big time in front of her! Lordy, I was scared to DEATH!!
Loretta, though, was very nice, and she said that she was very proud of me and she said that I had a done a very good job. (I was so scared that she wouldn't like me, but it turned out she DID! Boy, talk about RELIEF!!)
I will never forget my first experience on the stage with her, and I will always remember the kindness she showed towards me! It was nce to know that she shows the newer singers support and will do all she can to help them achieve theri dreams in making it in country music! That is a true superstar, and she is one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life!!
Loretta cares for her fans, and she will do all she can to give them an unforgettable show. If she unexpectedly falls ill or has to cancel, she is very sad and unhappy, and she will publicly apologize to her fans and will try her best to make it up to her fans. I have learned a lot about fans and treating them with respect by watching Loretta Lynn, and if I EVER get big in country music, I plan on treating my fans the way Loretta Lynn has treated hers through the years. I firmly believe that if you are nice or considerate to your fans, then they will remember you in years to come and they will do all they can to support you. It won't do a lot of good if you are rude or nasty to people because they definitely won't remember you or will have anything to do with you, and I DON'T want to be that way! I am a very nice person who cares for others, and so I will try my best to be like Loretta Lynn and treat any of my fans right!

Your heart always shows so well in your writes and this is no exception. I enjoy Loretta as well and always believed, even though I have never meet her, that it is true that she is such a loving person. Thanks for a great write.
Lets see Karen, Loretta Lynn, huh? Isnt that the person...no that isnt the one, or maybe she is the one, no thats not it either, can't seem to place her, oh yeah the coal miners daughter right?
If it were Ozzy Osbourne, or Alice Cooper I would know them right away, but this country stuff, well you can like it, but if you don't mind, I will just flush it, LOL!!!
