Did you have a nice Christmas?
I sure did; got a lot of very nice things, and included were some things I did NOT expect, like the remote-control HUMMER that my mom's friend, Roberto Sormiento, and his wife, M'buti, got for me. (The HUMMER is yellow, and it is really cool; I have been having LOTS of fun playing with it! But I WILL tell you this: my cat, "Cajun", does NOT like my HUMMER! Each time I take it out to play with it, she sees it, and she takes off running the other way! I think it is because I almost accidentally ran her over with it! She was NOT a very happy cat!)
I also got lots of clothes, underwear, and bras, money (I got something like $200 total from my family and relatives!), shoes, socks, new Lofstrand crutches (they are really cool; my new crutches look like my old pair, but these crutches are bright teal green; they are really neat! [My old pair of crutches were bright pink; but I have since outgrown them!]), paper, art supplies, pencils and pens, the book about the northern lights I wanted, new stuff for my hair, bath and body soaps (my favorite: almond and honey; YUMMO, but does that EVER smell GREAT!!), a new portable keyboard for me to practice my music on (whenever I get bored with my Cajun accordions, that is! LOL), and a Tetris electronic handheld game. Oh! I also got two videos: "Finding Nemo" (I didn't get to see the movie this past summer because I was in the hospital, getting over a bad arthritis flare) and "Sleeping Beauty", both by Walt Disney. I also got some new stuffed animals, like a stuffed cheetah, a stuffed snow leopard, and a stuffed white Bengal tiger. They are all really pretty!
In addition, I got two cases of root beer; root beer so happens to be one of my all time favorite drinks; but maman doesn't like me drinking a lot of it because it really makes me BURP! LOL (Like the HUMMER, I didn't expect the root beer either; so that was also a very nice and unexpected surprise! :D)
The only bad thing that happened to me during my time off so far was my best friend, Nicole, ended up in the hospital with a bad arthritis flare, and she is still there as I write. They don't know when she will get out, or if she will get out before the New Year. I do hope that she does; it is NOT fun being in the hospital, especially on your birthday or during the holidays! (I know; been there, done that, even wore the t-shirt! LOL) I want to visit Nicole so badly, but I am still "too young"; they won't let kids under the age of 13 visit; so I will have to have my mother visit her and tell her that I say hi and then she can let me know just how she is doing.
For the New Year, I am going to be relaxing, which is what I HAVE been doing ever since school let out for Christmas break; and now that the Christmas Cantata is over at my church, Christ Community Assembly of God, I can really relax and take it easy! I may be performing again soon; and if so, I will have to think of new songs to add to my repertoire; but until then, I can just relax and enjoy my new stuff I got for Christmas until school starts back up again.
I have been having fun playing with my new stuff (and my old stuff, too, of course!).
