A young boy is miraculously healed of his leukemia.

Anh is the first of the Sandusky kids to get a Healing from God. You can imagine the celebration of thanks and praise that is going to happen when people find out about his Healing....
I can't believe it has happened, but it HAS. I have been HEALED of leukemia!

It all started when I was at church two weeks ago. It was on Sunday, during the morning service. I was sitting there, listening to Pastor Bilkey, talking about Jesus healing the lepers and the infirm; and after the sermon, he asked people who were suffering from any illnesses or diseases to come up for prayer; as he was going to pray for a healing for us. Well, since I have leukemia (okay, DID!), I went up, and as the pastor was praying for us, I felt this sudden, white-hot heat flowing through my body, and then I fell to the ground. I don't know what had happened, but it was nothing like I had ever experienced before, and it felt WEIRD. I tried to get up, but I found out that I could not. I remember lying there, and I distinctly remember saying in a rather loud voice, "HEY! I need help here! I can't get up! Will someone help me up to my feet, please?" and I remember the sound of people laughing softly throughout the sanctuary. Even Pastor Bilkey was grinning.

Well, after that, I didn't think too much about it (but I was still wondering how I ended up on the ground; I don't remember anyone pushing me or jostling me to where I would lose my balance and fall!), but the day after my "encounter," we went to my cancer doctor's for a checkup; and when he checked me, he said it was strange, he couldn't find any evidence of cancer! He admitted me into the hospital for a thorough check up, and had top to bottom tests over two days that proved I had been miraculously healed, that I was completely normal, completely and totally healed! (He--Dr. Erskine--was amazed, and so was I!) He showed me the test results, and he said that he thought I had been healed by some supernatural power. He said that something had happened, and that I now no longer had leukemia; I was now deemed cured of my cancer!) After the two days of testing, since there was nothing wrong with me (LOL), they set me free. When I heard that, I looked at mom with a stunned look on my face; but she couldn't answer: she was crying too hard. She was undoubtedly overjoyed at the sudden good news, and she was praising God right there in the hospital! I asked her if it was true that I had been healed, and she said, "YES! You are healed, Anh; JESUS has HEALED you of your cancer! You NO longer have cancer!" Dr. Erskine was happy for me, I could tell: his usually serious face was wreathed in a huge smile, and tears of joy threatened to pop out of his blue eyes.

Well, on Wednesday, after being released from the hospital, I went to church; and mom was still high as a kite from the news Dr. Erskine had delivered on Monday. She kept saying, "Wait til the congregation hears about THIS; oh, what a time of celebration and rejoicing there is going to be!" Well, when I went up to share my testimony of Healing, the congregation erupted into applause and shouts of praise; and I was by now feeling so good (the best I had felt since becoming sick with the leukemia), I bet I could have run around the sanctuary had I had two good legs! But no, I only have one leg; and if I would have tried to run without my crutches, I would have fallen flat on my face! So I just stood there, on the platform with Pastor Bilkey, grinning like a foolish idiot, and bathing in my sudden burst of fame (even if that fame DID stay confined within the church's walls!).

So now I don't have to go to the doctor's or to the hospital UNLESS I get sick with something like the stomach flu or get hurt somehow; I now no longer have to have chemotherapy, and I now no longer have to worry about getting nauseated or having my hair fall out; I can now be a (semi) normal teenaged boy and concentrate on teenage boy stuff..like saving to get a HUMMER or trying to find a girl before the spring prom! But it sure is going to take an awful lot to get used to; I no longer am "sick"; I am now considered HEALTHY, and I am now HEALED of my leukemia! Jesus, the Great Physician Himself, has HEALED me of my leukemia, and now I am a totally different person! WOW, I still can't get used to it; it's amazing how fast He works His Miracles at times!

I keep telling people to pinch me; I still feel like I am still in a part of a dream, and I am afraid that if I wake up I will be sick again; but so far, nothing has happened, and I am still healed. So I guess this dream MUST be true ; and I guess that I am NOT dreaming! If THIS isn't evidence that God exists, then I don't know WHAT is, but boy, a guy like me sure can get used to this! All that medical hell is FINALLY behind me, and now I am a NORMAL boy WITHOUT cancer for the first time in my LIFE! I can finally get on with my young teenaged life and think of TEENAGER things instead of CANCER or SICKNESS or HOSPITALS!! :)

Hallelujah, I have been set FREE! :D

Karen, I've heard tales of things like this happening, and I know people were healed in the Bible, but I've never seen it happen. I'm glad your story character will now be a normal happy teenager.

Karen, I got the "jist" without reading the whole thing, as I have said before I CANNOT read these kinda things, I cannot deal with children being sick in anyway...so I kinda just scan over the write and read the best parts, like that of that last paragraph...nice to hear of a kid being a kid again, no more pain, no more cancer, no more hospitals, no more...As always an excellent piece, Peace thru Writing, Ed & Rufuz
