A young boy shares his innermost dreams and desires.
I am a young boy, only 11 years old, but I have dreams and wishes; and I would like to share them with you now.
For starters, I would like to be able to grow up into an adult. The reason I say this is because I have a serious illness, and I am not expected to live to become an adult. I am in a wheelchair, and it is really hard to live with a problem like mine.
Secondly, I would like to write a book while I am still able. My sister, Ronee', is currently working an HER book; and her book will be for kids who are facing illness or disability, and how to overcome them. It will also feature her life story, and I think I would like to do something along that line. (Ronee' 's book will be entitled "My Story: People Say No, But God Says Yes!") I think that would be neat. I see books in my library written by kids all the time, and I think that would be very interesting if I could do something like that!
Thirdly, I would like to tell the world about Jesus Christ and what He has done for me and my life. If it weren't for Him, I wouldn't still be here, and besides, if it weren't for me accepting Him into my life, then I would be in danger of going to hell; and if there is ONE place I DON'T want to go, it's to hell! I certainly DON'T want to meet that ol' Devil face to face; he sounds SCARY!!
Fourthly, I would like to see a cure for muscular dystrophy (and ALL neuromuscular diseases). I suffer from MD, and it is hard, very hard, living with a disability/illness like mine. I am not as strong as I once was, and every day, I seem to get a bit weaker; and every year I notice changes and it is harder and herder for me to do things; and I don't like the fear or uncertainty that my disease brings. If I could live long enough to see a cure for MD or ALL neuromuscular diseases, that would be the best day EVER! (Besides the day when Jesus comes, of course; that would be even BETTER, but still, if I live long enough to see a cure for MD and all neuromuscular diseases, then that would be cool beans, too! :D)
Okay. Now you know some of my dreams. My wishes are similar, but one particular one that immediately comes to mind is that I would like to see peace and harmony come into this world. There is too much sadness and bad things going on, and too many people have been killed by senseless violence or other stupid stuff that people get themselves into, and lives have been forever changed because of these events. Like September 11, 2001, as an example. New York City, New York, and Washington D.C. were hit by terrorists; and because of this, almost 3,000 people died in a way they shouldn't have had to. Because of the terror attacks, twin towers no longer stand tall in New York City (I have seen the Towers in real life; and I shall never forget them!), and the Pentagon is no longer inpenetrable, as a plane hit it, and over 80 people died there. The world was forever changed that day, and people no longer feel so safe and secure as they once did, and if there was one thing I wish now, it would be for the world to go back to the way it was BEFORE September 11, 2001, happened. I don't think I shall ever forget that day as long as I live, especially since I lost some friends in that attack!
I will write more in a bit; but I have to do some errands for my mom. Be back in a bit!
An inspirational book about a unique world where trees hold intrinsic knowledge and powerful forces of energy. The group of students called the Planeteers demonstrate character building and not judge people base on their appearance, but judge them on
