A young girl writes about why she is so blessed and why God continually provides for her.
I have really been blessed, especially these past several years, after I accepted Jesus Christ into my heart.
Because of this, He has provided me with the Gift of song, and He has also provided me with the Gift of Tongues and allowing me to become a more effective Witness for Him as I tell other people about Him. I also have been given the Gift of words, and I am now hard at work on my life story, even though I am only 11 years old, plus I am also going to share some secrets that I have learned while growing up with disability, pain, and hardship in my life. I have really been blessed, and I am now beginning to understand just how much Jesus DOES love me and DOES care for me.
I have been honored to have sung on stage at some of the best known places around Tennessee, singing at festivals, fairs, and such, and I have also sung at places like OpryMills and the Grand Ole Opry. I have opened shows for some of my favorite entertainers in country and Cajun music; and I have also had the opportunity to sing at places and festivals in Louisiana, including the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival, LeCajun, and the Louisiana Heritage Festival, among other places. I have also sung on television a few times, and I have also met many of my favorite tv and movie stars, thanks to going on "Star Search" last year. (I didn't win, but that is okay; at least I still had fun!)
Even though I am working towards becoming an entertainer (and also a writer), I still take time to thank God each and every day for the life He has given me, and I also thank Him for all He has done for me. If it were not for Him, I probably would have died long ago, and even though I HAVE come close to dying several times, He MUST NOT want me just yet in Heaven because I am still here, and I am still kickin'! I have had many health problems (and I still DO have health problems), but compared to a lot of peole, even though I may not walk as well as MOST people, I STILL can get around, and I can see, hear, think, and talk! I also can figure things out for myeslf, and have no problems with my work in school. I LOVE school, and school is always so fun! I LOVE my teacher, and I LOVE my classmates (especially Nicole, who is my BESTEST bud!)!
Because of God, and also Jesus, His Son, I have a future that is bright with promise and hope, and I am also assured a place in Heaven because I accepted Christ into my life, and when I did that, I became a Christian, and my life has NOT been the same since! Even when I go through "things" with my health, or with "things" involving my growing up into a teenager, my family and friends, or whatever, even though things MAY look bad at times, I STILL have God by my side, and He will NEVER leave me or abandon me! All I have to do is cry out to Him and call His Name, and He will somehow help me! He always has done so before, and so far, He HASN'T disappointed me!
I like to say that I am a "Work In Progress", which is TRUE. I am still growing in my Christian Walk, and every day, God shows me and teaches me new things that will only strengthen my Walk, and I also have learned that I am made this way ("Disabled") for a reason. I may NOT have been Healed YET, but I WILL get a Healing, be it here on Earth (THAT would be NICE! That happened to my oldest brother, Anh; he NO LONGER has cancer!), or maybe when I get to Heaven; either way, I STILL have a Healing coming to me, and one day I will be FREE of BRACES, CRUTCHES, THE WHEELCHAIR, and the PAIN!! Oh, what a GREAT and WONDERFUL day THAT will be! HALLELUJAH!! :D And I will be able to RUN, JUMP, and WALK NORMALLY, like a NORMAL kid! The crutches, wheelchair, braces, and the pain from my arthritis will then be NO MORE!! :D
UNTIL that happens, I will only have to learn to be patient and NOT ask Him to rush things. He WILL take care of me, but He will do it in HIS Time, NOT mine! (DARN! LOL)
As long as I am able, I will CONTINUE to tell other people about Jesus and why He has been so gracious to me. I have been given a Miracle by Him, MORE than once, and He has been awfully good to me, even when I think that I have been far LESS than Worthy of receiving whatever Miracles, Blessings, or whatever He has given to me. He has been a Provider, a Healer, a Confidante, a Comfort, and best of all, my Friend! He will NEVER let me go through more than I am able to handle (although there HAVE been times in the past where I have wondered otherwise!), and I am now just beginning to see what He has brought me through, in terms of my health and stuff, and compared to where I was several years ago up to now, all of a sudden, my health is starting to look pretty darn good, and I am getting so much better! I am no longer the "sick kid" I once was; true , I still MAY have my health problems and my physical disabilities, but I am a LOT better off than I once was, and I am a LOT better off than MOST people; and for that, I can be GRATEFUL! And for now, while I still can, I am going to praise my Lord Jesus Christ, and I am going to spread His Message to anyone I meet! He IS real, and He IS able to do ALL things if you ONLY learn to call on Him! He is ALWAYS there for you, day AND night, every DAY, every MONTH, every YEAR, and He will NEVER, EVER think of ever abandoning you, no matter HOW bad you may have been, or no matter WHAT you may be facing in your life! He loves you too much to even THINK of leaving you!
