Franklin Jefferson and M'Kaya, his wife, write a letter to their friends and family, to let them know that they are thinking of them and they want to let them know what has been going on in their lives.
St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 2004~
Dear One And All:
Top o' the mornin' to ye all!
This is Franklin Jefferson writing! Remember me? LOL I am so sorry for not writing in such a long time, but we have been so busy it is absolutely UNREAL!
M'Kaya is doing okay; but today she is having problems with her multiple sclerosis acting up, plus her fibro is acting up. She is in bed, and I am here, home, with Stefan, who is now just over six months old. He is really getting big, and he is such a placid, good-natured little boy! He is smiling and laughing, and he is discovering the world around him, and he has recently discovered his voice; so he spends a lot of his waking hours just screeching at the top of his lungs! I guess he wants to make himself heard! You wouldn't know that Stefan was the same little boy I wrote about last time, back in November, when he had the respiratory crisis and stopped breathing; but he is all recovered from that, and he is really giving his little lungs quite a workout with his incesscent screeching!
I heard from Wendie Malick, and she is coping, but she is still having problems with her health. She has managed to stay out of the hospital these last few months, but she still looks all puny and pale and weak, and I am wondering if she is starting to go into kidney failure because her kidneys have really been giving her grief. I also heard from Louisiana Sandusky, and she tells me that she wrote a book about her family! I will have to look for a copy of "A Family Made Out Of Miracles And Rainbows: A True Story of Love And International Adoption" (GEEZ, whatta' long title!) the next time I go to the bookstore! Sounds like some mighty interestin' reading! Louisiana Sandusky is still pluggin' away with her job and raising her brood, and I still don't know how she finds time to do ANYTHING! She is about the BUSIEST person I have ever met in my life!!
FINALLY heard from Roberto Sormiento and M'buti, and they are busy too. Am so glad to know that M'buti and Roberto are parents again, but TWINS?? I can't IMAGINE M'buti OR Roberto being the parents to TWINS! Don't they already have their hands full with a live-wire like Jubaki?? I have NEVER seen a more active kid in my life than Jubaki! He is a little PISTOL, and seeing him when I last saw the Sormientos wore my HAPPY BUTT off! Heard, too, that M'buti is working at the Nashville Banner (GOOD FOR HER! It's about TIME she gets out of the house!), and that Roberto got himself a HUMMER. (Now Roberto and I are stylin'...we got HUMMERS! LOL Hmm...wonder what color his HUMMER is?? Maybe it's yellow like MINE?? M'kaya wanted a YUMMER, so we got a yellow HUMMER!)
Work is still going for me; still working my butt off at Jonas Bronck in the P.T. department. M'Kaya is still at home with the baby, and she has her good days and bad days, as I mentioned earlier. Today her fibro and her M.S. are both giving her NO end of trouble, so she is in bed, feeling sorry for herself, which is NOT like her AT all! Frankly, I am a little worried about her: if she doesn't feel any better by tomorrow, I am taking her to our doctor's, to see if he can give her any relief from her pain and suffering.
M'Kaya is stirring; I can hear her in the bedroom, so I better check on her and make sure she is okay. I will see if she wants to eat anything, and if so, I will have to fix some grub for her and also change Stefan; he is starting to smell pretty ripe. I walked by him, and I got a pretty good whiff of poop; he must have downloaded a good one in his diapers! PEWWWWWIIIEEE!! LOL I will write more later; until then, take care, and I will talk to you again soon!
