Johnny and his family are getting ready for their upcoming cruise to Alaska. They are leaving next week, and they will be gone for two weeks.
Things are just so CRAZY here!
Mommy and daddy are busily running around the house, making sure we have everything we need for our upcoming Alaskan cruise; and if they DON'T have what is needed, then they go to the store! They are busily notifying the newspaper boy, the mailman, and the neighbors, so the mail and paper can be cancelled until we get back, and the neighbors can then check on our house from time to time, to make sure things are okay.
The other kids are whining about why THEY can't go to Alaska, too, along with mommy, daddy, Ronee', and myself; but they have to realize that if we ALL go, then we'd go broke just paying for all the tickets and stuff! We AREN'T exactly what you would call an "average-sized" family! With 50 kids around, things are NOT cheap, and so, when we DO go somewhere, we have to get our stuff by group rate, or else we don't go. It's that simple! But on the other hand, I AM glad I am ONE of the ones who IS going to Alaska! I have always wanted to go someplace new, and of course, Ronee' is bouncing off the walls, driving me crazy about the Northern Lights! That girl is OBSESSED with the Lights, and it is getting to where if I hear ONE more thing about the Northern Lights, I just may have to hurt her...NOT really, but I WILL whack her a good one if she does NOT shut up about those dadblasted LIGHTS!!
I am looking forward to getting out of school (and doing homework! HEE!), and I am looking forward to spending some time away from my brothers and sisters! I am also looking forward to seeing the sights and just enjoying the heck out of myself for two whole weeks!
Mommy is making sure we have enough winter clothes; Alaska isn't exactly warm, especially this time of year. In fact, Alaska can get downright chilly; but the reason we are going now is because mommy got a good deal on cruises, and she picked a cruise where the whole family can go; and besides, it is the best time of year to go TO Alaska. It is "Northern Lights Season" now, and many people go to Alaska to see the Lights. We also were invited by mom's friend, Jenna, and her husband-to-be, Michael, to stay with them when we are in Anchorage, where they live; and so now, as a result, we are going to Alaska.
I will write more soon; maybe I will even write from the cruise ship! Oh, this is going to be sooo much FUN!!
