Ronee' writes a letter to her brand new friend in California, Anna Grace Williams, who has only been in America since Saturday. Little Anna Grace was adopted by a family in California, and already she has a new friend in America, her first.

Dear Anna Grace:
Hi! Thanks for your sweet little letter to me, which I got the other day. It was very nice to hear from you, and I want to thank you for writing to me.
You sound like a cute little girl. You are just four and a half years younger than me; I am 11, and you are 7. (I was seven...ONCE!...LOL) So happy to hear that you are learning to walk! Good for you!! I am soooo proud of you!! Keep it up!!
So glad you got to go to church with your Maman and your sisters. It is fun learning about Jesus, isn't it?? Jesus loves us ALL so much, and He loved us so much He DIED on a Cross for our sins, so He could save us if we just called on Him! I did; I became saved when I was seven, and now I am teling others about Jesus and what He has done, not just for ME, per se, but for others! I go to a very spirit-filled church that preaches the Word of God, and I always get so much out of church every week! I go to Christ Community Assembly of God Church, and my pastor there is Pastor Bruce Bilkey. He is really nice!! I sometimes get to go on the platform, and I get to sing for the congregation, which is always a lot of fun! People say they love the way I sing, and I always get so much enjoyment out of it! Maybe if you get to come to Tennessee in August for the AASK picnic, you can hear me sing if you want.
People sometimes act all surprised when I tell them that I sing for a living because I am disabled, but I don't see what that has anything to do with my singing! Being on crutches or wearing braces on my legs has absolutely NOTHING to do with my singing or my voice!! People act so weird about that sometimes, and it drives me NUTZ!! I sing because I happen to enjoy it, and I LOVE singing in front of people and making them smile! I may be disabled, but I am NOT going to let THAT stop me from doing what I want in life; and as long as I have a God-given Gift, I am going to share it with others!! It doesn't matter that I am disabled; I am NOT stupid, and I can do anything I set my mind to!
Sorry for going off like that, but sometimes I get to thinkin' about that, and I get all fired up because people sometimes baby me and treat me like I am stupid! I just wish they would see that I am just like them, except I happen to need help in my walking; I may NOT get around as easily as MOST people, but I CAN do MOST things quite well in SPITE of it!!
You will have to send me a picture of you sometime, either by email or by snail mail. I am enclosing a picture of me; it is my school picture from last year, when I was in the fourth grade. I basically look the same, but my hair has gotten longer. It now goes to below my shoulder-blades. I am letting it grow out some more. It used to fall below my knees before I got it all chopped off; it was so long I could sit on it without trying! LOL I hope you enjoy the picture!
I will also send you a copy of my two CD'S if you want. I have two CD's out now; I sing country music mostly, but I also love to sing rap, gospel, rock'n'roll, rhythm and blues, and pop. I sing most styles; but people say I am best at doing country-western music. I am fixin' to record my third CD before we go to the picnic; we will do it sometime next month. It will be a different mix of musical styles...gospel, country, pop, rap--my favorite songs, in other words. I also play music; I can play fiddle, steel guitar, regular guitar, banjo, and piano. I also can play the Cajun accordion; and you will hear some of my music on the CD's. I hope you like country music; if not, then I guess you are in trouble! LOL But that is what I sing mostly, but as I just said, I also do other musical styles.
Well, Anna, I want to thank you for writing to me. I hope you like the things I am sending to you with this letter; and I am so glad that you want to be my friend! I want to be YOUR friend, too! Until next time I hear from you, Anna, you take care, and keep up the good work in therapy and in your walking! Don't EVER give up hope; and if you are feeling sad or scared, you can ALWAYS call on God to help you! He has helped ME a time or two (or even THREE! LOL), and He can help YOU too, if you just learn to trust in Him and call on Him when you need Him!

P.S.: In reference to your question about Tennessee being hot or cold, it can get cold in the winter, and it can get hot in the summer. But it is still a very nice place to live, and I happen to enjoy it! I also love California, and I also love Louisiana. In fact, those are my two favorite states to visit...California and Louisiana!! I also love Ohio; they have a HUGE amusement park on Lake Erie called Cedar Point, and they have *16* roller coasters up there!!! It's a COOOOL place!!!! I LOVE it there!! Another place I love to visit (but forgot to mention it, in the excitement of writing to you! LOL) is Alaska! I recently got back from there, and Anna, you wouldn't believe HOW big and pretty it is!! Alaska is a STUNNING state!!!! I had so much fun there I hope I can go back; I LOVED my time in Alaska! (I was there for two GLORIOUS weeks; and I had a BLAST!)
