A little boy, aged three, is missing, and his family is frantic.
I don't know what to do. Our little boy, Kyle Filip, is missing, and we haven't been able to find him for some time now.
It all started yesterday. Yesterday afternoon, as a matter of fact. It had rained hard from storms, and afterwards, our youngest boy, Kyle, wanted to go jumping in the water, something he has always enjoyed; and when we went to call him back inside an hour later (so we could eat supper), he wasn't anywhere to be seen. We called his name, thinking he may have run into one of his friends, but there was no answer, and we couldn't find him anywhere. We looked about the neighborhood, hoping anyone had seen him, but nobody had, and now, nearly a day later, he is still missing.
Before he disappeared, Kyle was wearing a yellow rain slicker, dark blue jeans, and red galoshes, as well as a yellow rain hat, and he was also carrying an orange bucket. Kyle is three years old, and he has brown hair that is wavy and tends to curl, huge, violet eyes, and is rather small for his age (but not too terribly so). He has no physical impairments, and he is a normal, happy little boy with a sweet personality.
Now we are looking for Kyle, meaning my husband, Ray, myself (my name is Julie, Julie Hendree, by the way), and our two older children, Tabitha, 10, and eight-year-old Kylie; but so far, we haven't seen hide nor hair of our little boy. The girls are frantic; they are so scared that someone has taken their little brother or that he has gotten into some sort of serious trouble; and now we have the police looking for our youngest child. We also have neighbors combing the area, and so far, there has been no sight of Kyle or his bucket. It's like he has just DISAPPEARED into thin air, and we are scared beyond belief!
I don't know what we would do if something were to happen to Kyle. He is just a little boy, and he doesn't deserve to be lost in this way! He could be in danger, or already dead, and we keep having horrible thoughts of Kyle lying dead somewhere or chewed up by rabid animals, or being kidnapped by some perverted men or women who have nothing better to do than to prey on innocent little children; and I don't know what we would do if Kyle were in that predicament! We are trying to be positive, that Kyle is only up the street at his friend's house; but we have asked Ethan's mama if she's seen our son, and she hasn't, and this only has us feeling all the more scared and terrified!
So glad to hear this is fiction, Karen, but this does happen too frequently in real life, too. And as Karla said, I can't imagine the trauma these families must go through.
