Louisiana is thrilled to learn that Kendra's little girl, Anna Grace, is recovering nicely from a near-lethal spider bite and is now awake and stable.

Dear Kendra~
Hallelujah!! God be thanked!!
He is so good, isn't he? I was so happy to learn that Anna is now awake at the hospital and appears to be improving from her spider encounter! I got your email this morning, and I meant to write earlier, but you know the demands of parenthood: can't always answer when I would like to! LOL
My husband was happy to learn of the news, and so were the kids. They (the kids) are already busily making get well cards to send to Anna, so be prepared to get a lot of mail next week! I will call Christ Community Assembly of God and give them the praise report; glad our prayers helped!
I am sure your Anna will be sick or not feeling her best for a while: I have had the unpleasant opportunity of getting spider-bitten myself (also by a fiddle-back) when I was a teenager, and the stupid spider got me right in the end. It hurt to sit down, and for a very long time I had a huge hole in my buttocks from when the bite eroded. It was nasty, and the treatment was worse; I shall never forget it as long as I live! I have healed since then, but I still have a very nice scar on my buttock from that spider, and each time I look at it I am only reminded of what I had to endure, and believe you me, Kendra, I wouldn't wish a spider bite on ANYONE! (MAYBE on Osama bin Laden or any of these terrorists, but that is another story, and besides, that isn't nice to think such things!)
After the spider bit me, I was sick for weeks, and I couldn't do a lot of things without pain or discomfort. But eventually it all went away, and I was soon myself again! Your Anna should do well, too, but be prepared for a long recovery period for her.
As I told you yesterday, Ronee' is allergic to spider bites as well, like your Anna, but thank God she has never been bitten! Oh, she's had some mighty nasty encounters with bees or wasps, and each time proved to be extremely traumatic and stressful on all our parts; but she eventually recovered, and we do all we can to prevent future encounters. That is all it takes, and preventing our house from having an infestation of ugly spiders or ants or whatever is also high on our list. I hate spiders with a purple passion, and I'd just best protect my house, my property, and my babies from such nasty pests! Spiders are disGUSting, and I have NO use for them, especially those of the brown reclusian or black widowy kind!
My son, Johnny, is also allergic to spiders; we found that out in a hard way when he ws six; he got bitten on the face, and we thought we were going to lose him. But prayers and quick action saved his life (and his face!), and now he carries a scar on his right cheek, near his nose, from when he got bitten by that spider. Johnny almost died, and we were all so scared! We had no idea that Johnny was so allergic to spiders until he got bitten, and it was touch and go for a while, but he eventually recovered, thank God!!
Well, Kendra, thank you for letting us know about Anna Grace. We shall be sending her cards later this week; she should have them by Monday or Tuesday of next week. She should like her cards. We join you in celebrating your Miracle, and we give praise, honor, and glory to our Lord and Saviour Above for His goodness to you and your family! Praise God!! GLORY!

Spiders can be pretty scary when it comes to their bites. I am learning there is a new one here in AB that is very poisionous. Maybe I will start stepping on them instead of saving them? One really big ugly black one jumped at me from my work pail and then went scurrying into the soap so I could not kill it. Nasty thing!
