Jenna is still in the hospital, recovering from surgery and also complications. (She had a staph infection and was pretty sick, but now she is starting to feel somewhat human again.)
Hi! This is Jenna.

I am sorry for not writing sooner, but I have had a rough week last week in the hospital, and I am finally starting to feel more like myself again.

I had surgery last week, on my back, to repair a pinched nerve, and although the surgery went great, I developed a staph infection that nearly killed me. I was fine one minute, and the next, I was burning with a high fever, and I was sicker than sick; and I really don't remember much until only a few days ago.

I am feeling better, as I said, but I am still not feeling great. At least I don't have the severe, nagging pain in my back anymore, but whenever I cough or sneeze or move a certain way, it about kills me, and it feels like my back is going to tear apart in two. I also have to be careful on how I move, or else I could rip the stitches apart, and they would have to sew me up again. NOT good if that happens! I still feel pretty bad--that is, suffice to say, I still feel feverish, and I am still weak and shaky. I am on IV antibiotics, and right now I can't eat anything but clear liquids until this stupid nausea and fever go away. I am on strict bedrest, and I have a tube in my pee place; I can't even go to the bathroom on my own without help!

Michael has been here most of the time (I think; at least that's what he has told me!), and I am afraid I haven't been "Miss Excitement" here. All I have done since having my surgery is sleep, sleep, SLEEP, and right now I am so tired it is all I can do to keep from falling over from sheer exhaustion or keep my eyes open half mast! I don't know what has happened, and I don't know what the weather has been like because all I have done is sleep my life away!

I am still feeling pretty lousy, so I will write more when I am feeling a bit better and stronger. I will let you go for now so I can get more rest (as if I need more; I have been asleep until the past few days!)!

All I have to say is this: I want those days I missed being asleep BACK!!

~Jenna. :( *OW* (moved wrong here....)

P.S.: I don't know how long I will be here in the hospital, maybe by next week I will be back home, depending on how well I recover from this stupid staph infection! GRRRRRRRRRRR!!! >:(
