Jenna Aurora Whitson is back home, out of the hospital, where she continues to recover from recent back surgery. She lets us know how she is doing.
I never thought this day would come! I am finally home, and OUT of the hospital, and I am sooooooooo happy to be back home with Michael and "Aurora", our Husky! I thought that "Aurora" was going to jump out of her skin when she saw me being wheeled into the front door, but Michael had to remind her to be "easy" and "gentle" with me, seeing that I am still in some pain and am recovering from my recent back surgery. But she was beside herself with excitement and joy, and she barked and yelped happily as Michael wheeled me into the front door, and she was so excited she peed on my leg! LOL

I am feeling stronger, but I am still rather weakened. It will be a while before I am up to snuff and back to where I was before I got this pinched nerve. But it IS nice NOT to have the nagging, annoying pain in my back; my back hardly hurts unless I move wrong or cough and sneeze. Then it is like...OWWWWWWWW! PAIN LINES! LOL Sneezing and coughing is the WORST; NOT good if one has had recent back surgery! OWIE! LOL

I guess that means I will be using my wheelchair for a little while until I get my strength up. The surgery took a lot out of me. So did the staph infection that followed; and I am on a heavy regimen of antibiotics, to make sure that the infection is knocked out of my system. I hope so, I was one sick little Inuk! I could have died, I was so sick, but it was ONLY by the Grace of the Great Spirit that I LIVED! So I owe him a LOT of thanks!

I checked my computer, my emails; and I had something like 20 emails from my sister, Jerrica, and also some from my Tennessee friend, Louisiana Sandusky. She said that she and her church family at Christ Community Assembly of God kept me in constant prayer, and even though I personally don't believe in God, I still thought that it was nice that she thought enough of me to pray for me. Maybe that is one reason why I am now out of the hospital; it seems that God, whoever He is, had something to do with it! And so did the Great Spirit, who is MY god. Both must have been in cahoots with one another because I am still here! LOL

Louisiana is recovering from a sinus infection; she said that she missed work on Friday because she had a migraine headache, a sinus infection, AND was throwing up. She spent the entire day in bed, where I am sure she was feeling sorry for herself. She hates to be inactive or down, and when she is sick, I am sure she is a BLAST to be around...NOT! LOL She said that she went to her doctor today (in fact, she just got back, I am sure; her appointment was at 2), and he gave her more pills to break up the sinus infection and to relieve the pressure and pain. She said that she was starting to feel better, but she wasn't feeling her best, so maybe she will end up missing work tomorrow too and go back Wednesday.

Jerrica is fine, and Garrett and Tommy are too. They are going to be in 11th and 12th grade this fall, and they plan to start college next year if all goes well with their studies. They are such smart, studious boys; I have always admired their academic prowiness and abilities to learn (something that they did NOT get from me; I am dumber than a WALRUS!)! She told me to email her or she was going to kill me. (HER words, NOT mine.) NOT really, but I HAVEN'T written her in a long time; she must think I am dead or something! LOL But to show her that I am NOT dead, but ALIVE, I shall write her before she worries herself into a frenzy! LOL

I guess I know where I will be for the next few days to a week: holed up in my room, at the computer, pounding my fingers to nubs as I try to answer all my emails! LOL

Michael has been really good since I got home. He won't let me lift a finger; he keeps on hovering over me like an eagle with its prey, and it is starting to drive me CRAZY! I am NOT a child, and I am certainly NOT going to break! LOL I may be down and out for a while, but I WILL get better! I did from my accident back in November, and even though it took a long and lengthy (and PAINFUL) recovery, I still got over it, and this, my latest "health episode", is NOTHING! Compared to my accident, this surgery I had on my back was a BREEZE! LOL More like a BLIZZARD, I'd say! LOL

Can you tell that I am in a weird mood? I guess it is the pills I am on; they make my head (and body) do strrrange things! Like, for example, it is a struggle for me to eat because the pills have all but killed my appetite, and I am so skinny and so underweight it is NO wonder I seem to be cold all the time! NO meat on my bones! I look like a starving rabbit! LOL (Probably weigh about as much as one, too! LOL) I also am so loopy and so sleepy all the time, and I find myself taking naps at the strangest times and places! I once fell asleep during supper at the hospital, and my head ended up in my bowl of soup, and Michael said that I was snoring and making bubbles in my soup! LOL Another time, he said that I fell asleep during a movie, and I started talking out loud; he said I was talking about an aurora and it wasn't red enough, so I was asking for a red crayon, so I could color the aurora and make it a deeper red. (Of course, I was doing that in Sign Language; I am deaf, and can't really talk out loud..or at least, I don't THINK I do; I have never heard myself speak! LOL) Now, is THAT weird, or WHAT?? LOL

Well, the smell is starting to get to me (there is NOTHING more offensive than animal pee!), so I have to change these peed up pants of mine that my darling Husky so lovingly christened for me upon my Arrival home from the hospital before I get sick! I can't stand the smell of pee after a while; it makes me nauseated! I will write more later; besides, my eyes are growing heavy again, so I must lie down and get some more rest. (Seems that is ALL I have been doing!) Until later, or the next time you hear from me, this is Jenna Aurora Whitson saying so long for now!

~Luv, Jenns.

I am HOMMMMMMMMMMMME from the hospital! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY!!! :D
