Louisiana writes her friend in California a letter after Kendra writes to her.

Dear Kendra:
You don't know how much it makes my heart sing to finally hear from you! It has been a while since I last heard from you; I was just starting to wonder about you! LOL Glad you are well; and glad your girls are too! Give them all hugs from me, okay??
Yes, it is true : Ronee' DID break her wrist (her right one). It was a bad fall. She went outside to go play, and as she was going down the steps, she accidentally hooked her foot on the corner of the one step, and there was no way she could stop herself from falling. She just went down, and that was that. When I heard her scream and then start crying in pain, I knew something was wrong, and when I went outside, to check on her, she was lying on the ground, in a heap, just crying her eyes out. I knew her hand was broken when I saw it: it was hanging limply and at an odd angle, and it was puffing up badly and was rapidly turning purple. It scared the hell out of me, so I knew I had to get Ronee' to the Emergency Room for quick medical treatment.
Turns out we were there for about six hours. We were there from about 1l:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
Now Ronee' is sporting a purple cast on her wrist, and she is not happy, no not at all. She can't go outside to ride her bike or play on the swings, and she can't practice her accordion, fiddle, guitar, banjo, or piano. So her play and music is severely curtailed, and she will have to wear her cast for six weeks, which means that she will have it when school begins the day after Labor Day.
It was wonderful to hear of Anna Grace going to the altar and accepting Christ! I bet your heart was jumping for joy when she made that big and all important decision! I am especially glad to hear that she loves pizza and hamburgers (what kid DOESN'T?? LOL), and that she has adapted well to her life here in America! She sounds like such a precious little angel! You tell Anna Grace that if she wants to write to me (or to any of the kids), she is more than welcome, and tell her that I think it would be nice for her to drop Ronee' a line. I think that Ronee' could really use some cheering up, what with this broken wrist and all!
Tomorrow we will be leaving for Louisiana. Ronee' is scheduled to perform at LeCajun this weekend. LeCajun, in case you are wondering, is a combination awards show/Cajun music festival, and all the biggest names in Cajun music will be there, as well as over 20,000 screaming, excited Cajun music fans from all over! We have gone to LeCajun the past several years, and it is a lot of fun! We will be in Louisiana from Friday until next Monday; we will leave Tuesday, and we will probably be back Thursday of next week. I pray that we have a safe and uneventful trip; after yesterday's "excitement" we don't NEED any more unexpected "surprises"!
I will let you know how Ronee' makes out at LeCajun when I write next week. But I can guarantee you this: she WON'T be playing her accordion or her other instruments! All she will get to do is sit on the stage and sing! That is going to be so hard because she loves playing her music! She especially enjoys playing her Cajun accordion!
Have you been catching any of the Olympics action on the tv? We have; we are a regular Olympic-watching family! LOL We are so proud of how well the U.S. Men's Gymnastics team performed, and we were happy that they medaled during the Games! Sure, it may not have been the Gold medal, but they still medaled, and they managed to snag the Silver! Not bad! I just hope (and pray) that the Women's Gymnastics Team does well, too, tonight! I will let you know how it went next time I write if you don't hear about it first! LOL As you know, our one daughter, Gemini In Ai Lee Ranessa, is a budding young gymnast, and she has won medals (not any Olympic medals, mind you, but she HAS won gold medals! LOL) for her talents! She is really coming along as a gymnast, and her coaches think if she continues to do as well as she is now, she may be at the elite level in just a few years, and we can then send her to Houston, to the Bela Karoly School of Gymnastics! Of course, we would have to raise the money ourselves to do that, and that is going to take an awfully lot of hard work and dedication! But Gemini is very serious about her dream to become an Olympic-caliber gymnast, and by God, if she wants to do that, then by God, we will LET her! She has the drive, talent, and determination; why spoil her dream??
Wouldn't that be too cool? To have an Olympic medal winning gymnast in our family! WOW! LOL
Here I go, letting my mind wander again...sorry about that! LOL I mustn't let myself get TOO carried away; I have fifty little ones (and not so little ones! LOL) to take care of! Maybe that is one reason why Ronee' broke her wrist yesterday because I wasn't paying close enough attention! But as you know, accidents DO happen, and they DO have a way of happening when you least expect them to!
Well, Kendra, I hope to hear from you again! I will write to you later next week, after we get back from LeCajun in Lafayette, Louisiana! I will let you know how it went for Ronee', and I will let you know how the rest of us are faring! We are all well (well, excepting for Ronee' and her bum wrist! LOL), and we are mostly happy and thriving! We are also getting ready for the picnic in a few weeks; are you still planning on coming? Please let us know; we need to know whether you can make it to the AASK picnic as soon as possible! Hopefully you are; we would REALLY love to meet y'all!
