Dear Louisiana:
I was sorry to hear of your daughter's unfortunate accident that resulted in a broken wrist. How is she feeling today? I hope that Ronee' is feeling much better by the time you get this!
I am well; and so is Humberto and the children. Today, Humberto took the kids to the zoo, so I am relaxing and trying to get some needed housework done: the house is a mess! I am taking a break from the housework now to write this letter to you! I hope this letter finds you all in the best of health! (I know Ronee' isn't, not with her broken wrist, but knowing her, she probably won't be down for long!)
Sorry to hear that Johnny's muscular dystrophy camp experience was a disaster, and also sorry to hear that his dog was sick! Johnny seems like a very sweet little boy; you seem to write very highly of him!
Have you watched any of the Olympic action on the tv? I have caught bits and snippets of it, but was sorry to hear that Korea is being a spoil sport by saying that Paul Hamm's gold medal winning performance was a "mistake". You know, people like that make my blood boil; they have no business competing in a prestigious event like the Olympics if they are going to act like spoiled brat kids! Even my kids know better than to act like THAT! But glad to hear that Paul Hamm gets to keep his gold medal: he should; after all, he EARNED it! Was also sorry to hear that Micheal Phelps won't race today, but glad that he still has a chance to earn his eighth medal if the team wins! Poor guy is so tired; no wonder he isn't racing today! Sure hope he gets his eighth medal; wow, what an accomplishment!
What did you think of little Carly Patteron's performance the other night during the women's all around? Wow, she sure shone on all four events, and she has such a sparkly personality and air of greatness about her! She may be young, but she seems to have a level head on her little young shoulders! She reminds me a little of Mary Lou Retton!
Have you made it to Louisiana yet? How was the Cajun music festival? How did Ronee' do during her performance? I am still hoping to get her music; I would really like to hear her sing!
Do you know that there is a new talent show coming up this fall on PAX tv? It's called "America's Most Talented Kids"; maybe you ought to consider in entering your daughter, Ronee', in that. I bet she would do well! PAX tv is about all we watch..that and Nickolodeon! What shows do you watch on TV? What are your favorites? My favorite shows are probably "Miracle Pets", "Sue Thomas, Private Eye", and "America's Most Funniest Home Videos". I also like that new game show, "Balderdash". I also like TBN and CBN.
How is the weather up there? Here it is per usual: hot and sunny, typically Texas weather in the summer. I am looking forward to the start of the fall season; I am getting sick and tired of the heat and humidity! We have had some rain here, but nothing like northern or central Texas, and I know you all have had your share of the wet weather, too! Hope it isn't TOO bad up that way!
