Dear Sikik:
Hello! Thanks for writing; it is always good to hear from you! I just checked my emails, and saw a letter from you. I read it, and I thank you for writing!
In lieu to your questions, my son's dog is named "Ginger", and she is a golden labrador retriever. She got sick when she got a hold of some chocolate, and she nearly poisoned herself. She nearly died, but by a Miracle, she survived, and she is now doing well. She scared us for a while, but I am happy to say that all this sickness is behind her. Johnny and her get along famously, and they are lost without each other! (Johnny, by the way, is 11 1/2; he will be 12 come December 26, the day after Christmas.)
Ronee' broke her arm when she hooked her foot on the corner of a step, and she went down. There was no way she could stop herself from falling. I knew her arm was broken when I saw it dangling at an odd angle, and it was really puffing up badly and was turning some mighty interesting colors (plus her screams of pain gave me some clue that something was most definitely wrong!). She now has a purple cast on her right wrist, and it has really hampered some of her activities; but she is taking it in stride, and nothing seems to really keep her down for long. She is a fighter, and she always has been, ever since we have had her! She will probably have the cast on for at least six weeks, and I am hoping that she doesn't have any more injuries!
Have you watched any of the Olympics? I have been watching them on a very regular basis (plus Johnny and Gemini both have been keeping me informed about the latest medal count, and who won, or lost, that sort of thing!). I would have liked to have watched them this past weekend, but we were in Louisiana, at a Cajun music festival (which is why you haven't heard from me in a few days). We will be home sometime Thursday; we are on our way back home to Tennessee now as I type this on Ronee' 's laptop. Bill is driving now, and we are somewhere in north Louisiana, heading towards Arkansas. Hopefully we won't have any problems on our way back to Tennessee!
Ronee' performed at the festival, and she did a good job; but because of her broken arm, she didn't get to play her Cajun accordion (or her other instruments). She only sang; but she still had fun! We all had fun at LeCajun, and we saw (and heard) many of our favorite Cajun music acts! My son, Johnny, though, didn't go to LeCajun: he was more interested in watching the Olympics! LOL He mostly stayed at the hotel, but he was happy just to watch the Olympics! He is such a silly little boy! LOL
I liked the picture of the Nanuq you incorporated on your latest letter; that was cool! (No pun intended; SORRY! LOL) Speaking of Sari (SORry!), my friend in Finland, she is at the Olympics; she just emailed me, and I had no idea she was even THERE! I will email her after I get done writing to you; maybe she can snag some autographs of some of the Olympic athletes for my (future) Olympian Gemini, my gymnastics-crazy daughter (she is 13), or maybe for Johnny and Ronee', who both love Micheal Phelps and Carly Patterson, respectively! She said she is having fun in Greece, but the weather is far too hot for her Finnish blood, and she is getting fat on the Greek food! She says she has especially been pigging out on the souvlaki! LOL
Well, Sikik, Bill is tired of driving, so I will take over the wheel, and I will continue this at a later date (probably after I get back home to Tennessee). I will write more then. Until later, you take care, and thanks for writing; it is always a treat to hear from you! God bless!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tennessee, Louisiana (who is now heading towards Arkansas on her way back home to Tennessee! LOL). :D
P.S.: The little boy in the picture is not so little now. His name is Hunter Hayes, and he is fixin' to become a TEENAGER! He is an awesome young entertainer! We have seen him oodles of times, and he never fails to entertain all who see him! He is absolutely incredible!
LOL at sarah's review--sarah, i can attest to louisiana's letter writing abilities. a pack of paper lasts NO time when karen's writing--which is ALL. THE. TIME. LOL
seriously, this is a great story, and love the pic of HH :)
