Louisiana is saddened to hear of the news that a man in Greece has shared with her; and until she got his letter in her email box, she had no idea of the situation at hand. She tries her best to console, comfort, and offer emotional support to him in the light of what has happened to his younger sister.

Dear Nikolas:
I am so sorry about what has happened to your sister, Athena Helene; how horrible! But I have no idea what has taken place. You see, Nikolas, I am not working until Monday; I am off today and tomorrow. But after reading your plea-filled letter, I had no choice but to respond to you.
Yes, Sari Gustaffssenn IS a friend of mine. I have met her once, last year, when her friend, Helvig Gustaffssenn (no relation; they only share the last name), was injured in a fall and broke his arm. I met Sari when she came to the Emergency Room of our hospital, and ever since, she and I have been regularly corresponding with one another, keeping each other up to date on what has happened in our lives. At the time I met Sari, she was visiting Helvig from Finland, and it was during her visit when Helvig fell down the stairs and injured himself. It has been a wonderful friendship thus far. Sari is a very sweet person, and I love her like a sister! :) I am glad you got to meet her at the Olympics; how wonderful! You must have been having a ball so far at the Olympics; that must be so exciting!
But back to more serious matters. I am so sorry about your sister. How awful that she was shot like that! That must have been so frightening when Dr. Stryker called you to inform you of the news regarding Athena and her sad situation! Is there anything I can do for you, Nikolas? If so, please email me; I will give you my email addy at the end of this letter. That way, you and I can keep in touch, and I can let you know about how your sister is doing when I return back to work on Monday. I work at Nashville Memorial Hospital, where I am an RN, or registered nurse; and I have been there about five/six years now. I absolutely love my job, and I have met many terrific and interesting people. Dr. Stryker works at Nashville Memorial; he is our chief neurosurgeon, and he is very good at what he does. But seeing your sister is under the age of 21, she may be also under the care of Dr. Emmons, who is one of our pediatricians. He is very good at what he does, too, and I couldn't ask for two better doctors to provide care to your sister. As soon as I find out anything about Athena, I will be sure to let you know as soon as possible; but it won't be until Monday.
To tell you a bit about myself, I am married, with a loving husband, and a large number of children, all of them adopted. My children come from all over the world, and they have been nothing but a big blessing to my husband and myself. As I said earlier, I am a registered nurse, and I work at Nashville Memorial Hospital. I am quite short, under five feet tall, with long, black hair and black eyes, and I am dark-complexioned. My husband is tall, well over 6 1/2 feet, and he is dark, too, with dark hair and eyes. He works, too, but not at the hospital. He works at a large department store, and he greets the shoppers when they come to the store, and bids them goodbye when they leave, and tells them to have a nice day, that sort of thing. I was born in Louisiana, and I have lived in Tennessee for over 10 years now. I am a very busy woman: my family, my husband, my nursing job, and my writing keeps me very busy. That is another thing you should know about me: I am a writer. I have written one book about my family, and I am currently at work on my second book, which is about nursing. I enjoy my life, and I find my life to be very blessed and meaningful.
As soon as I find out more about your sister on Monday, Nikolas, I will be sure to email you with the details regarding her status and her injuries. Again, I am sorry about what has taken place; do you mind if I put you on our prayer list at church? That way, we can pray for both you and your sister.
