Louisiana hears from her friend in Texas, Phoebe Pearson. Phoebe has just found out about Louisiana's oldest grandchild, and she is devastated at the news.

Dear Louisiana:
This is your friend in Fort Worth, Texas, Phoebe Pearson. How are you doing? I just found out about your oldest grandchild possibly having a neuromuscular disease, and you can't imagine how sorry I am at the news! Is there anything I can do? Do you want me to come up there to Tennessee? Because if you have it arranged, I can be there by tomorrow! If you need me, I will make the necessary flight details, and as soon as I find out the information, I can relay them to you, pronto!
That is just awful about Jamee! What has been going on, and what were the symptoms? How long have these said symptoms been going on, and how does the rest of the family feel about it? Has she already seen a doctor, or has there already been a diagnosis of her illness? If so, please do know that you will be put upon our prayer chain at our church, and we will be praying for you tonight! I certainly hope that you have put Jamee on your prayer list at your church; heaven knows, you really need it now, what with all that has already been going on in your life with your son! (Doesn't he have muscular dystrophy?) I don't know how I would react if I were facing this situation; but I will let you know this: we, the Pearsons, will be praying extra hard for you and your family in the coming days!
As soon as I get off this computer I will be calling the airlines, and if I can get a good deal on flights, I will make the necessary steps in getting a good rate for a flight to Nashville, Tn. I want to be there for you and I want you to know that I care about you and your family; and our kids and my husband do too! They are upset at the news, too, and they are already busy making get well cards for Jamee! But first we need her address in Colorado! That way she can get some surprises in the mail to cheer her up as she is facing this situation in her young life! What about her brothers? We can get them some stuff too, that way they don't feel left out! How old are the grandkids? I know Jamee is the oldest, at six and a half, but how old are the boys?
How is the weather there? Here it is absolutely delightful: we had a Canadian front come through the DFW area, and it is stunning: wall to wall sunshine, bright blue skies with nary a cloud in it, very low humidity, light northerly breezes; highs in the low to mid 80's (but it feels more like in the 70's), and lows in the upper 50's to low 60's, just awesome weather for this time of year. This year has been wetter and cooler than normal: we haven't had many hot days here, and it only got up to 100 degrees just one day, which is highly unusual for here in Texas! Hope it isn't too nasty there! Heard y'all have had a lot of rain and flooding there; hope y'all are okay there in Tennessee!
Have you done anything exciting this summer? We went to Sea World in San Antonio for a few days, and we had an absolute ball. We also went to Galveston for the Fourth of July, and other than Hanh getting stung by a jellyfish, there have been no other health calamaties, thank the Lord! The kids are nut-brown from the sun, and they have been enjoying their summer break! But alas, all good things must come to an end: next week starts their schooling, and they are NOT happy about it AT all! But it will be good for my hubby and me; we at least get a well deserved break from the kiddoes! Even Linn is starting school this year: this year she will be in kindergarten, and she is picking up English so quickly! She is a very smart little girl! And her sister, Hanh, is opening up: she isn't nearly as shy as she was, and she is making friends with ease. Her English is vastly improving too, and we are so proud of both Linn and Hanh! I will give them both a (((HUG))) from you guys, okay? Maybe I will have Hanh and Linn write you a letter someday once they become more comfortable with their English! Would you like that? Let me know, okay? Thanks!
Henry, Sapphire, Brandt, Hayleigh, Jamar, Jourdan, Ash, Adam, Malik, and Miracle are all doing quite well too; and they are growing like weeds and are gaining on their life skills each and every day. They are becoming more proficient in all areas, and even Miracle is starting to make progress that we didn't see until recently. She is starting to learn to express herself, and she is gaining needed weight and hasn't had any hospitalizations since last year when she last had pneumonia! I may have the other kids write you too; would you like that? Again, let me know, and I will have them get busy!
Well, dear friend, I will let you go now. It is time to put supper on; and I had better do it quick or I may have an angry, hungry mob after me! LOL So I better scoot before they toot! LOL
