Dear Louisiana:
WOW! What more can I say after reading about your fifty Miracles! I just can't even seem to FATHOM being the Mama to *50*! And what is even more amazing is that you remembered ALL of their names! WOW, you must have the memory of an ELEPHANT! LOL
Thank you for writing; it is good to hear from you! I hope this finds you and your family well! I am glad that you have been to Idaho; I love it here! I have lived here all my life, and I consider Idaho my home! I met my husband in college (I graduated when I was 22, many eons ago--I am now 40--), and it was love at first sight. I was struck by Paddy's Irish brogue, and his sparkly eyes, and he was struck by my giggle and my personality. We hit it off, and we have been together ever since!
We did have a child about a year into our marriage, but unfortunately, our little one died. Her name was Siobhan Anne, and she lived only a few days. She was born with all sorts of problems, and her death was devastating; it was a while before we could accept it and go on with our lives. This happened about fifteen years ago; she would have been a teenager now; and there isn't a day where we still don't miss her or don't think of her. Out of this tragedy came the decision to adopt; this was probably what opened the door to adopting. We wanted to give kids who were disabled a chance to be loved and grow in a family and home; and this was why we adopted the kids we did. The story is similar to yours and Bill's; but we ended up adopting kids from the Honduras instead of all over the world, as you have done. Maybe we will add to our family; one will never know!
Have you heard from your California friend (Louise) yet? I hope so; I hate it whenever the computer acts up! Let me know if you heard from Louise yet! Maybe I would like to write to her! LOL
I am still laughing over the part in your letter about the time you tried skiing! I bet that must have been interesting! I can't imagine what you must have done the first time you saw snow or encountered it! You are a mess, Louisiana! LOL Did your husband take pictures of you on skis, too, as mine did? If so, I would like to see some! I bet they would be hysterical to look at! LOL
Thank you for the invitation to come to Tennessee! I would love to come there; I am a fan of country music, and I have always wanted to go to the Grand Ole Opry! Have you ever been to the Grand Ole Opry? If so, you are a lucky duck; I have tried on several occasions to get tickets to the Opry, but each time I tried the operator said that they were sold out! Are tickets to the Grand Ole Opry really THAT hard to get?? If so, then I guess I will never get to see it, which is a shame! I just may take you up on the invitation to come (probably sometime next year, if you aren't too busy...yeah, RIGHT.! BUSY is your middle name! LOL)! I would really love to meet you and your Miracle Family!
