Ronee' writes a letter to her friend in California after her friend writes to her. She is still sick, but she wanted to thank her friend for thinking of her and praying for her.

Dear Kendra Mae:
Thank you for writing to me. It was nice to hear from you again.
But I am still sick. I am home from school, and I am in bed, feeling sorry for myself. I am trying not to think about my pain or my urpsy stomach, but it is hard when my joints are screaming obscenities at me, calling me every dirty name in the book, and when my stomach keeps doing flip-flops! I am not feeling as bad as yesterday, but I still feel pretty awful, and last night, I had to go to the Emergency Room to get some shots because the pain was so severe. I just got home a little while ago, and I have been drifting in and out of sleep. The medicine they gave to me (plus the shot) is really knocking me for a loop, and I am so dizzy, which does NOT help my queasy state right now......
Sorry about that, but I just had to urpse again. Daddy is in here, with me, and he just took care of me. I am really feeling bad, and I am kind of glad I am not in school today because I am not worth a darn! I don't have to worry about the boys picking on me, and I don't like it when I am flaring because I am slow anyway, and when I am flaring, I feel like I am moving at the pace of a sloth! Or maybe even a slug! LOL Maman is at work, and she has already called me, to check on me; but I didn't get to talk to her because at the time she called, I was still in dreamland. But daddy told me that she called.
Thank you for your prayers and concern, and thank you for including Isaiah 40:31 in your letter. That happens to be my all-time favorite Bible verse (that along with John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, and whomever so believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life"); and whenever I hear it or am having a bad time of it, it always strengthens me. You all are so sweet to pray for me; I only hope I can pray for you like you do for me. Because prayer does work, and I have seen God answer prayers more than once, like with the salvation of my family, past healings when I was sick, and the like. (Boy, sure could use a good Healing now! WOW!)
I am glad to say that I made up with Gemini, and that she apologized to me. We are friends again. She apologized to me right before daddy took me to the E.R. last night, and she felt bad that I am hurting and am sick. Well, I FEEL bad; after all, I am the one who is sick and hurting, NOT her! I wouldn't wish this stupid arthritis flare on ANYONE (well, maybe except the terrorists or someone like that! Or maybe Satan!)! Having arthritis or flares is the absolute WORST!! GRRRRR!!
Well, Kendra, I had better let you go; my hands/fingers don't want to work right, and it is sooooo painful for me to try to type this down, so I am going to go back to sleep and try to get some more rest. Hopefully I can sleep some more! I want to thnnk you again for the pep talk and for encouraging me with your prayers; you are a true friend! (I wish y'all lived closer, that way you could visit me any time you wanted to! I really miss y'all!)
