Ronee' writes again in her family's fair journal before she goes off heading towards the midway and then performing later in the day, where she is opening up for Loretta Lynn, her favorite singer.
Today is THE big day for me.
Tonight I will be opening up for my favorite singer, Loretta Lynn, and I am so excited!! But until then, I will be riding the rides until I have to leave the midway by four, so I can practice and warm up until I go on stage at 7:30 tonight. (Loretta Lynn comes on at about a quarter after eight; I get off the stage by eight.)
As you can guess, this is Ronee' again. I guess I had more to say; otherwise, I wasn't going to write in here until sometime this weekend. But I am still having a great time here at the Tennessee State Fair, and I have been having fun riding the rides and singing some. I also have been having fun looking at the exhibits, and I have been enjoying the animals, especially the kitties. I enjoy holding them, and there is one there that looks kind of like my own kitty, "Cajun", who is at home. (Grandpere' Armand is watching over the house; he doesn't get around as well as he used to--neither does his wife, my step grandmere'--; so they opted to stay home from the fair. They are making sure that our house isn't going to up or leave or something; and they want to make sure that nothing happens. I pray it doesn't!)
Guess who I ran into last night here at the fair: my best friend, Nicole! She was surprised to see me, just as I was surprised to see her; and she was having a good time. She was in her chair (she can't walk a lot, so she uses her wheelchair if there is a lot of ground to cover; it's a lot easier for her! Sometimes I do the same thing myself, but I'd much rather use my crutches! I guess I am stubborn that way! LOL), and she looked happy for once. I was happy that Nicole was having fun because the past year has been awfully rough on her. She lost her daddy in a car wreck on Easter Sunday of last year, and she was having a very hard time of it. But she is slowly starting to come back; and she is happier now than she has been in a very long time. She is acting more like herself. Her mama was with her; she was pushing Nicole's wheelchair, and she lookad a lot happier, too. I guess fairs are meant to make people happy!
I think I musta' rode every ride out here: I rode the Booster, the Scrambler, the TopSpin (you ought to have seen my hair on that thing! LOL I can only imagine what it must have looked like when the car spun upside down! LOL), the Storm, the Zipper, the Tilt A Whirl, the Dodge-Em cars, the LoveBug, the Hurricane (that one made me quite dizzy, worse than the Storm, Booster, or TopSpin! LOL), the merry go round, the SkyDiver, the regular ferris wheel, the Indiago, the Round Up, the Orbiter, and the Space Roller. I didn't ride the kiddie rides 'cause they are BORRRRing! Okay, I didn't ride EVERY ride, but I did ride the MAJORITY of them! I also didn't ride the SkyCoaster. Knowing MY luck, I would have run right into the side of the pole, and that would have NOT felt at all good on my body! OWIE! PAIN LINES! LOL
Well, I am gonna' get me a corny dog and some crawfish pie (I am hungry all of a sudden!), so I will go for now. Until later, this is Ronee' saying PIP! PIP! CHEERIO! C ya!
~Love, the Ronster. :D
P.S.: I will let ya know how my opening up for Loretta Lynn went next time! 'Bye! :D
just make sure that ronee doesn't ride rides after eating the corny dog and crawfish pie :) or there will be a big ole mess to clean and one sick little girl LOL
ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww "what ride did you ride?" "the vomitron" LOL
