Dear Ronee' Le-Anne~
We were both disenheartened to hear that you are sick and are home from school. We both hope you are feeling better, and we hope that you are on the mend!
We are both fine; Michael has been busy working nights and taking care of me the rest of the time, and me, I have been busy doing..you know, same old, same old, nothing ever changes. I get up, have to have my hubby help me get bathed and ready and then dressed, have to go to my bi-weekly therapy sessions at the hospital, work like a dog in therapy, learning to walk on my walker, then come home and crash for several hours; and when I awaken, I am so stiff and sore it is NOT one bit funny! Then, we eat our lunch, and we just sit around, looking at the paper or the same old tired magazines until I get the notion to go somewhere because I am going crazy from being cooped up! LOL Then, about six, Michael goes to work, and he gets home around two/two thirty the next morning; and I can't sleep until I see the lights from his HUMMER pulling into our driveway. Only then can I relax.
How is your breathing today? I hope it is better; but I am glad to hear that you didn't have to be admitted to the hospital for your asthma. That is always a huge relief on your part, I know; I know how you love hospitals...NOT! To tell you the truth, I am not exactly fond of them myself; try being in one for six solid months and not knowing what your future held! YIKES! NOT good! Are you taking it easy? I hope so; I don't want to hear you having to go to the E.R. again!
How is the weather over there? Glad you had fun at the fair; it really sounds like you had a great time! I am glad you got to sing with Loretta Lynn; she is a wonderful person, so I have been told. I wish I could have the opportunity to hear her voice or her sing; I am sure she is one of the best, from the way you talk about her! LOL I bet you knocked 'em dead with your singing/musicianship! (About the ONLY thing I can play is the triangle! I am NOT musically inclined. Kind of hard to be when one is stone-deaf, like I am! LOL) The weather here is pretty: bright-blue Alaskan skies, intense sunshine, just dazzling temps in the 40's to 50's max; and lows in the 20's to 30's, kind of chilly. The other day we had snow; one of the first snows of the season; and of course, I had to get out in it! LOL Must be my Inuk bloodlines! LOL Snow and Inuk go very well together! LOL
We would love a copy of that picture you described with you standing with Loretta. I bet you looked very pretty in your sparkly outfit! And I bet Loretta looked lovely too; she always does! She is one of the prettiest women I have ever seen! I just wish I could hear her; Michael loves her music, so I know who she is. I just can't hear her, which is so frustrating! And I can't hear you either when you sing; I am sure you have just as pretty of a voice as Loretta!
And no, we won't throw darts at it or feed it to the rats, as Michael said in the last letter. Pay no attention to him or what he says; he is just acting like his Cajun self...CRAZY! LOL We will probably put it in our photo album, along with the ones we have of your family. You are too pretty to have your picture treated like that! And you are gettting bigger; good for you! You are starting to turn into a pretty young pre-teen!
I will send you some pictures that Michael took when we went fishing at the Glacier Park. I didn't catch anything, but Michael caught several salmon, each weighing about 20 pounds each. So we had fish for dinner last week, and we STILL have leftover salmon in the fridge and freezer! Would you like some pictures of us fishing? I bet you would!
Well, sweetie, we will let you go so you can rest. We hope you feel much better soon, and we can't wait to see you again! (We are thinking of coming down there for Christmas. Would you like that? Please ask your mother to give us a call; we'll talk about that when she calls!) Love you and miss you bunches!
Feel better soon!
