Dear Louisa~
Thank you so much for writing; it is so good to hear from you again! I have been lifting you up in prayer every day, asking God to give you the strenth and courage needed to make it through the day; and I have also been praying for your children, in particular, your daughter who has MD. I pray she is doing well too!
I am glad you liked Johnny's picture that I sent to you. You are so right: he IS a handsome young dude! Always has been, but now as he gets older, he is really turning into a real heartthrob! LOL (Tom Cruise, look out! Here comes Johnny! LOL) He is a very happy kid, especially now that he is doing so much better in school! He is getting A's and B's now, when he used to get nothing but D's and F's; what a difference Sylvan has made in his (and our) life! He is doing better; thanks for asking; and thanks for the prayers!
But alas...we have another sickie on our hands...Ronee' had an asthma attack the other day after church (Sunday nite); she had to go to the E.R. for some oxygen and a shot (plus a breathing treatment); in a few hours, she was well enough to go home, but last night, we had some storms roll through, and she flared. Needless to say, she is back to square one, back in bed, feeling sorry for herself. She has been asleep a good portion of the day, so we are letting her get as much rest as possible. She was really disappointed in not getting to go to school today or yesterday; she absolutely LOATHES missing school! I just checked on her; she is fast asleep, on the Goodnight Special, just a snoring away!
The fair was fun; but towards Friday, we were starting to get faired out, so we went back home; and I have worked a few days already (both doubles)-worked on Friday and Saturday. I was soo tired by the time Sunday rolled around; thank GOD it wasn't crazy nuts at the hospital, or else I might have needed a bed myself! LOL Sunday I was so tired I didn't go to morning services at Christ Community Assembly of God; I spent most of the day sleeping in bed; but by the time 4:00 rolled around, I was fine; and I woke up, and we made it to the evening services. So it was like I didn't get to go at ALL to church! At least I MADE it TO church!
Ronee' did a bang up job opening up for Loretta; she was so happy to be on that stage, and the people loved her, especially when she played her Cajun accordion and sang her Cajun songs. That had the audience on its feet! As for Loretta, she was wonderful, too, as always; she hardly puts on a bad show; but if she gets sick or has to cancel, she will try her utmost best to make it up to her fans! She is just that kind of person: always thinks of her fans first over herself (but sometimes that isn't possible, not with her health being the way it is at times). The weather was stunningly beautiful for the concert; you couldn't have asked for more perfect weather! During Loretta's segment, the audience was on its feet the entire time, and they hollered for more; Loretta ended up singing for fifteen extra minutes with encores; the people did NOT want her leaving the stage AT all!
The kids had a ball on the rides; but me, I stayed off most of them. Most of them were too wild or too wicked-looking for my tastes; and of course, Johnny didn't ride too many, thanks to his weak stomach. It was a challenge for him not to get sick; and he DID get sick a few times; but thankfully, we had some Pepto-Bismol and Dramamine to help with the "nauseas". Other than that, he was fine, but he didn't eat much (I can't say we blame him, poor little guy!), and he certainly didn't do much in the way of riding the rides: he was much happier looking at the exhibits or listening to the music, anything to get his little mind off the rides! But most of the kids didn't mind the rides; the more wilder and scarier the ride, the more they wanted to ride! Even RONEE' rode some of those things; yet she was NOT scared! She laughed herself silly on the rides; but me, I was worried sick for her! I was so fearful that she would scare herself into an asthmatic episode or fall out of the ride, but thankfully, she never did! She had a BALL! I am glad she did; but as for me, I think I will keep my feet on solid ground, thankyeweverymuch~
We may go back to the fair sometime this weekend, but for now, we just want to enjoy the peace and quiet of home, and the kids are back at school. I am back at work, and for once, I am glad that things have settled back into a (somewhat) normal routine (but then, for us, what IS "normal"??)!
I was thrilled to hear that Kendra is going ahead in adopting the little Japanese girl! That is absolutely AWESOME! But I am sorry to learn that the neighbors are having problems with it. You are so right: THEY are the ones who have the problem, NOT Kendra, and they DON'T have the love inside their hearts like Kendra (or even YOU!) has! I pray that the adoption goes through; and I am sure that the little girl will be beautiful! Oriental children are so pretty; their eyes, and their hair; just so shiny and thick, and their slanty eyes that tend to "disappear" when they crinkle shut due to laughing or crying! I know my own Oriental children are beautiful, and they always HAVE been! Please do keep me informed on the situation; and I will have our church pray for a Miracle! I am so happy that she is able to help you out when you need it; that is what good friends are for, and you are so blessed in having her all these years! I pray your friendship continues to grow as the years go by! And I pray we get to meet someday too! That would be too awesome!
We used to have problems with our neighbors, but eventually, they got used to us. They now support us, and some still DO have trouble accepting our children or the number of children that we have, but we know that God intended us to take in these kids, and we have NOT been at ALL sorry, not ONE bit! I hope the problems fade soon; you and Kendra are both in my prayers!
Well, Louisa, Ronee' is stirring, so I best go for now. She should be awakening soon; maybe she needs some pain meds or has to use the potty. I will write again soon; until then, you take care, and I hope that you are feeling better soon! I also hope the weather clears for you; so much for "Sunny California", hunh? LOL Sounds almost like us here in "Rainy Tennessee"! LOL God bless you all, and thanks for writing!

Why would someone object to a baby. My nephew has adopted twins from china and they are little china dolls. They have American and Chinese names. Loretta Lynn perhaps wrote the songs that were for women and a great entertainer. My third book is named after a Garth Brooks song The Dance. inspiring to think about others well done.
I believe you, Louisiana, and glad to hear that his performance with Loretta Lynn went well, and even gladder to hear that your neighbors are more accepting of your family.
