Monday, October 25, 2004 (*two months from today, I will be 12 years old, and it will be CHRISTMAS!* :) )~
Dear Journal~
Hi! This is your friend, Ronee', again. I am sitting here, in the cafeteria, waiting for my friends to bring me my lunch. I am still pretty stiff and sore from my flare, but at least I feel (SOMEWHAT) human today! I am using my wheelchair today; it is just too danged painful to walk the halls on my crutches...
I am back at school, and I am ever sooo glad, but I have homework out the wazoo! I have to write an essay in Creative Writing about my cat, except I have to get into the cat's mind and tell the story from the cat's point of view. Hmmm...should be quite interesting (not to mention, challenging!)~ I also have to read at least several chapters for Social Studies/American History, and take notes. I also have some math homework (ICK! I HATE math!), and work on my art project, which I haven't been working on since becoming sick. ICK and DOUBLE ICK!
My friends were all so glad to see me. I was glad to see them, too, but Nicole is absent; she has the flu. So that has me a bit bummed; Nicole always makes my life so much more fun and bearable!
After lunch is my favorite time of day: recess for a half hour, and then choir. I think choir is my favorite class! I just love my choir teacher, Mrs. Hamlin, and I love singing, PERIOD! Pretty soon we should start working on the Christmas songs that we sing during the Christmas program; no doubt, Mrs. Hamlin will probably have me sing a solo; she loves the way I do "O Holy Night". I love this time of year: on Sunday, at church, we will have our Fall Festival, and we kids will get to dress up and get candy and treats; and after we get back, we will get to go around the neighborhood and go trick and treating. I will be dressing up as a country music diva (a la Loretta Lynn) this year. I also have Thanksgiving and Christmas shopping to look forward to (and of course, the Christmas Cantata at our church and the school Christmas program)--and, of course, my 12th birthday...and *CHRISTMAS*! Busy times ahead!
And get this: I will get to see Jenna and Michael Doucet from Alaska, and I will get to see my sisters Dwerlina, Tanya, Melizza, and Lightning (and will get to see my cousins Jamee, Daniel, and LeAndre', and will get to meet my newest twin cousins, Tyreese and Tyrell, who were born on July 4th of this year!)! I will also get to see Darnell, Lightning's husband! (He's my uncle.) AND I will get to see Kendra Williams and HER family from California; so we will definitely have a "FULL HOUSE" come the holidays! Oooh, I am soooo excited! I can't WAIT until the holidays!!
Today, for lunch, I am having hash, mashed potatoes with brown gravy, peas, carrots, and for dessert, cherry jello. I am also drinking some apple juice. I just got it, and it smells DELICIOUS! YUMMO!! I just got it set in front of me, and I am getting ready to dig in. So if I want to eat, and then go to recess, I'd better let you go, so I can have some serious eating and play time! Until later, this is Ronee' saying "Toodles"!

Karen I want to thank you for the picture of the kitty he looks like my cat Hurricane and that will be the article for tonight. As always I enjoy reading your articles and thanks for you kind words.
