Johnny writes some more in his journal; he especially concentrates on writing about the Northern Lights, which made a rare visit to his hometown, among other things that are going on in his life.
Friday, the 12th of November, 2004~
Dear Journal~
Hi! This is Johnny again; I am still in awe over what I saw last night, and also the previous two nights: we had a rare event happen, and I am still talking about it (as is my brainiac sister, Ronee'; it's HER fault that she's got me so excited! She is really into the Northern Lights! Ever since we went to Alaska, that is about ALL that she talks about, and it drives me plumb crazy!)!
We had the Northern Lights in our northern skies (DUH! They wouldn't be in the Eastern, Western, or Southern skies; WHY do you think they are called the NORTHERN Lights?? Boy, Johnn-o, at times you are sooo dumb!!). There was a huge storm on the sun, and some of the energy from that came to earth, and this was what caused the Northern Lights to happen. Anyway, we were eating supper, and it was getting dark, when mama happened to look out the window, and she saw the Lights. She said for all of us to look outside, to the north, as the Northern Lights were out, and of course, we kids nearly broke our necks trying to climb over one another, trying to make our way to the window that faced the north, so we could see the Northern Lights; and we were all going, like "Ooooh!! Ohhhhh! Awwwww!" I really didn't see that much (I never do unless they are REALLY bright!), but then they got a little brighter, and I got all excited! I actually SAW the Northern Lights, and I got all excited too! I got this tingly, shivery feeling, and seeing the Lights made me soo happy! I wish I could be out there IN the Lights; I bet that would be cool to dance with the Lights or actually BE with them!
I have been doing okay; I am still a bit bugged about my HUMMER being broken by my stupid little brother, Kwame', but at least the Northern Lights made me forget about that for a LITTLE while; and I also have continued to do well in school. Next week is our midterms, and I pray to God that I pass! I HATE midterms~ They always show how dumb I really am!
We are also getting ready for our company in two weeks: we are having at least a MILLION people coming to our house, and then we are all going to eat at the Golden Corral for Turkey Day; and then we are going to come home and let our bellies flop around after we get done eating at the Golden Corral! We may then watch some football or else I may play with my cousins or something! Or I just may SLEEP! LOL I am really looking forward to seeing my cousins, and getting to see my oldest sisters Tanya, Lightning, Dwerlina, Dianna, and Melizza again, and I am looking forward to seeing Uncle Darnell and getting to meet my newest two cousins, Tyreese and Tyrell, who are twins! I am also looking forward to seeing Ms. Williams and her kids, and also the Pearsons; they live in California and Texas, respectively, and they have a lot of kids, too! So I will get to play with my friends again BESIDES my cousins!
Roberto and M'Buti aren't mad about my HUMMER; but Roberto said that he would try to get someone to fix it. I hope so, because there is nothing worse than a bored kid with a broken HUMMER!! I was afraid that they would be mad; but they weren't, thank goodness!
Well, I gotta' go; I have to use the little boy's facilities again. Think my bladder must be broken...I HATE that! I feel a little full, and if I am not careful, my catheter bag just may break, and then I will have a real mess on my hands...EWWW! Nothing worse than having a bag bust on you, and then you smell like a pee factory and then you are all cold and clammy, and uch! I HATE that feeling! Bye! Write more later!
