Dear Kendra~
You don't know how surprised I was to get an email from you! Thanks for writing! I was wondering if you have heard from Louisiana or from Johnny or Ronee' because I haven't heard from them; and I am a little worried about them! I hope they are okay!~ I have written to them, but I haven't gotten any response from any of them! I do hope they aren't mad at me about something~!
Louie told me that you were in the process of adopting another child, this time, a little girl from Japan. That is great! But I guess we are all a little crazy; seems that Michael and I have been having "The Talk" lately; we have been toying with the idea of having or maybe even adopting a little Inuk child from my neck of the woods, a child that is in desperate need of a home or a family. We would like to adopt a little boy. Seems that Louie is so good with her army, and it seems like you are too; so this is why lately Michael and I have been thinking about starting our own family. Strange how things happen nowadays, isn't it??
I have been feeling okay, but physically, life is difficult at best. Not easy to try to take care of a husband and a home with just one working arm and trying to negotiate around our apt. on a crutch! I still get so tired after so long, and I still have to take frequent breaks, just so I can get my breath back. I have been gaining weight since I am not as active as I once was prior to the accident (it's nearly been one year ago since it happened, and I am starting to have nightmares again!), and I feel so out of breath at times it isn't a bit funny!
Michael is well; he is still working at the bar during the nights; and I am still at home, twiddling my thumb (I can't twiddle both, seeing my one hand doesn't work; stupid, limp thing; it drives me NUTS! It looks--and feels--like it is DEAD!), and I am still trying to make the best out of my disabilities. I may go back to school, but I don't know; I am still self-conscious about how I look, and going out in public still makes me uncomfortable. People stare or make comments, and even though I can't hear their comments, I still can see their mouths moving or their tongues wagging, and it makes me uneasy.
It is gettng colder and colder here in Alaska, and the Northern Lights are out in full force. I always enjoy the Lights, but they make me a bit sad because I think of my dead relatives, and my dead parents, and I wish that they were still here with me! I feel so alone now, especially now that I am disabled, and I feel that all my friends but a few have all but abandoned me.
I hear you have been having a lot of rain. I hope the sun shines for you soon; I know you Californians must HATE the rain! I don't care for the rain myself; I am a snow girl, and I have always enjoyed the snow and cold! So I guess I am in the right spot living here in Alaska, hunh?? LOL
I am getting ready to go to Tennessee; and I hear you will be there too. I can't wait to meet you! And I can't wait to see Louisiana and her family again! I am looking forward to it, and I know you are too! So there are good times ahead for both of us!
Well, I have to use the potty again (I have to have Michael help me; I am still not that co-ordinated yet! LOL), so I will go before I mess up my pants (let alone, the floor!). I will write again soon; until later, take care, Kendra, and see you come Thanksgiving! I can't wait!!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Alaska, Jenna Aurora. :D
Have a safe trip to Tennessee! And see you soon! I am really looking forward to meeting you in person!
Karen, this is a wonderful story...we have enjoyed the brilliant glow of the northern lights here less than a week ago. This time they had much green and red in them and it was a joy to watch. As I look out my writing office window this instant, a large flock of Canadian Geese are flying in formation...so winter is coming our way. Wishing you a wonderful weekend...and ask Karla to pop in and read something in my port so I can get her added back to my tracker please. Thanks, Trish.
This is an excellent response Karen
God Bless
Michelle~
