Ronee' sends a quick email to her new young friend in California before the family leaves to take her grandpa out to eat at the Golden Corral Restaurant, where they are serving veterans free meals.
Monday, November 15, 2004 (Letter #2 today, so you owe me one! LOL)~
Hey, Rebekkah!
This is Ronee' again; thanks for your latest email! I just got home from school, and I decided to answer it before we leave in a half hour; we are taking our grandpere' Armand Moliere' (he's maman's daddy, and he is really old!) out for a free meal. We are going to the Golden Corral here in Nashville, and tonight the Golden Corral is honoring all veterans, in honor of Veteran's Day, by giving them free meals. It doesn't matter if you are in the service, OUT of the service, retired, or on reserve: as long as you served our country, then that is all you need; no paperwork or I.D.'s required. You just say you served, and you get a free meal on the house! (Hmmm. Kinda' makes ME wish I were older or were in the service! But I am too young, darn it, and I am NOT a veteran! Oh, well...at least I can eat at the kid's price; and tomorrow, I can eat even cheaper, as it is Kid's Night at the Golden Corral! So I will get to eat there AGAIN tomorrow! LOL) They are going to be busy-busy, and we are in for some great food, too! But grandpere' Armand gets the best deal of all: HE gets to eat FREE coz he's a VETERAN! :) (God bless our veterans, especially my grandpy!)
I am happy that you got saved when you were six. I was seven when I accepted Christ into my heart, just a bit older than you. I am also happy that your family's relatives survived the Holocaust; what a horrible time in history! I can't imagine what those poor people must have gone through; if I had been around at that time I would have been killed too because I was disabled; and I am sorry, but I think that is ROTTEN! Those stupid Nazis were EVIL, and they had no heart, let alone, BRAINS! I am SO glad that that horrible time is over, and I am glad that I wasn't around that time! That must have been awful!! We are studying about the Second World War now in school, and I hate it because I cry! I think of all those innocent Jews or other people who were slaughtered by the Nazis, and it just makes me SICK inside!!
I am glad you enjoy dance class. If I had good working legs, or didn't have to walk with braces or crutches, I would have loved to take dance classes (preferably clog dancing; I love how their feet fly in the air!); but since I don't, oh, the well! At least I still can enjoy watching them! My sisters Gemini, Sun Hee, Sunshine, Danita, Starlight, and Camey dance in a clog dance troupe, and they are called "The Little Dixie Cloggers"; and they are really good. It doesn't matter that Sun Hee is blind: she still can follow the rhythm to the music, and her sisters help her by telling which way to go or turn when they are doing their dance routines; and they tell her what to do. Sometimes she messes up, but she usually does quite well for not being able to see! She's amazing!
Well, I gotta' go; maman is making the "get off the computer. NOW!" signal with her hands; so that means I gotta' go. I will write more when I get back from the Golden Corral, or sometime tomorrow; either way, you will hear from me again. Thanks for writing, and God bless you always!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tn., Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux. :D
