Dear Rebekkah~
We MUST be playing email tag; it seems like I think I am all caught up, and then...*BOOM!* Here you come with another letter for me to answer. Oh, well...I don't mind; I just love getting mail, email, snail, or any other kind (as long as it isn't JUNK!)! Thank you for writing; I am glad you enjoyed my letter and the picture of the Cajun accordion I put on it! I have been playing the Cajun French accordion since I was six, almost six years now, and I really enjoy it. I also have been playing the fiddle since I was three and a half; it's the instrument I have played the longest, and I get a kick out of the fiddle too. I also have since learned the banjo, guitar, pedal steel guitar, piano, organ, and keyboards; and I am now learning how to play the mandolin. That's a bit hard, especially when my fingers are acting up due to the arthritis, but most of the time it's fun!
I am now in study hall; it's where I usually write your letters unless I am home, or in the hospital, or at lunch. I go to lunch after study hall, and then I have lunch; I then have Spanish, Conversational French, Social Studies, and then Creative Writing/English, which is my last class of the day. I already have had Math, Choir/Music Appreciation, and Science.
Who is your teacher? Mine is Mr. Gee. He is okay I guess, but at first, I was nervous, because he was the first male teacher I have ever had, and he seemed tough at first, but really, he's not so bad. He is quite nice, really, and he is really comfortable to talk to if I should ever have a problem, and he helps me. Before I had Mr. Gee, I had Mrs. Thompson (last year), and the years before that, Mrs. Hemingway, whom I have had since I started school here at Eastview Elementary. I will be going to Donelson Junior High next year, and I will start seventh grade. I am looking forward to it, but at the same time, I am scared because I know a lot of the kids will be looking down at me and picking on me coz I am just a lowly seventh grader. I am NOT looking forward to that AT all! I HATE being teased!! If it isn't about my physical disabilities, it's about my height coz even though I am in the sixth grade, I look more like a fourth grader. I am LITTLE. (I AM growing, but NOT NEARLY as fast as I would like. My docs say I will be short for my age because it turns out that my real parents were short. So there you go. DARN!)
I don't watch Sue Thomas, Private Eye, or whatever you call it. I don't like crime shows. I never have. They upset me. I see someone get shot or stabbed, and I cry, each and every time, and I also have nightmares. Maman won't allow me to watch it. I am sure it is a good show and all, but I just don't care for those types of shows. E.R. is about as close to that type of show that I can watch, but I can't stand it when they show all the blood. I hate the sight of blood, and it makes me want to lose my belly, especially if it is my OWN. I have been known to pass out at the sight of blood, and I don't care to see it in real life, thankyewverymuch! It's bad enough seeing my OWN!! YUCK!! The only shows I really watch are E.R., America's Most Talented Kids, Star Search, Miracle Pets, Doc, SpongeBob SquarePants, RugRats, The Wild Thornberrys, Doug, Ahhh! Real Monsters, Rocket Power, and the Christian channels. I also can watch America's Most Funniest Home Videos and Extreme Home Makeover.
I am glad you like Loretta Lynn and Country music. Loretta Lynn IS cool; she has always been my very favorite performer ever since I can remember, and I have seen her plenty of times in concert. She is about one of the nicest people I have ever met, and she still knows how to put on a great show for her fans! I have also seen Reba McEntire a lot, and I have also seen Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Ronnie Milsap, Keith Urban (I wasn't really that impressed with him AT all!), Toby Keith, Tanya Tucker, Tiffany Evans (NOT a country singer, but still, a good young singer just the same; she won Star Search when she was ten, she just turned 12 and just released her debut album!), the Judds, Jeff Morrow, Josh Gracin, Ruben Studdard, Kelly Clarkson, Diane DeGarmo, Fantasia, Clay Aiken, and all the other "American Idol" contestants, Li'l Kim, Puff Daddy, L'il Romeo, Li'l Bow Wow, Macey Gray, Aleisha Keyes (or however her name is spelled!), Hunter Hayes, the Happy Goodmans, Karen Wheaton, Dallas Holm, the McCameys, Victoria Huggins, Jimmy C. Newman, Belton Richard, Wayne Toups, Doug Kershaw, Sammy Kershaw, Mark Chesnutt, Hank, Jr., and many, many more. I don't mean to make it sound like I am bragging, but I have been going to concerts ever since I was little-bitty, and I have really enjoyed MOST of whom I have seen! I hope you get to see Reba in concert; she is really nice, and she puts on a terrific show! She really goes all out to make sure her fans have a good time and to make them remember her show; she is a dynamic person and an all-around entertainer!
Well, it's about time for me to close shop. I am going to lunch and then recess. I will email you either later today or sometime tomorrow; so be expecting another email from me. I will write to you later; until then, thanks for writing, and thanks for your prayers for my mom! My maman is feeling a LITTLE better (but not much; she still didn't go to work either yesterday OR today!), just thought I would like to let you know that! Until later, C-ya!
