Louisiana writes her friend in northern Finland a pre-holiday letter of response after Sari has emailed her. Sari wrote to her last week; Louisiana is just now getting to answer it.

It was so wonderful to hear from you again; I am so happy that things are going (reasonably) well for you! So happy to hear that you heard from Nikolas, and that he is coming for Thanksgiving! Yes, I would love to have him write to me; it's been a while since I heard from him! And as for your brothers, I would love to write to them too; I am sure they are just as sweet and friendly as you are!
We are still coming for the wedding in the spring; don't you worry your pretty little head off about that!
I was sorry to hear that some of your reindeer were killed by ravenous wolves; how awful! I pray that the attacks stop soon, and I pray that the wolves get some nourishment before they decide to eat you! That would be too horrible! You need to put an electric fence or get guard dogs, anything to ward off further attacks on your herd, and to keep the wolves out!
I loved the picture of the Northern Lights that you put on your last letter; that made me think of Alaska and how beautiful the Lights were there! We saw the Northern Lights last week, but they were not nearly as bright as they were in Alaska or up in the Arctic! I bet they are stunning in the Arctic; they were pretty stunning here!
So happy to hear that your family is well; I was sick part of last week (had a touch of the flu), but I am now all better; and so far, the rest of the family has managed to stave off the flu. I pray that they don't get it, especially some of the sicklier kids; when they get sick, all hell can break loose, if you know what I mean! Ronee' had an arthritis flare up a few weeks ago, but she is now fine, and she hasn't had any problems since then. Johnny hasn't had any seizures either, but he has his good days and his bad days when it comes to muscle weakness and fatigue due to his muscular dystrophy.
Is Nikolas there yet? I pray he has a safe journey from Greece if he isn't there; I bet you are both excited at the prospect of seeing each other again! That is wonderful that you both get to spend the holidays together!
I have been busy cleaning the house, getting ready for our company coming in from Alaska, California, Colorado, Texas, and Louisiana. We are really looking forward to seeing our girls and our friends again! I am especially looking forward to meeting my newest twin grandsons, who are now 4 1/2 months old! They are both adorable! (I have seen pictures of them, and they are absolutely precious! Now I will get to hold them in my arms, and I know I will cry!!) I will have to tell you all about our Thanksgiving holiday the next time I write!
I have some more good news to share: my friend Kendra in California is getting ready to adopt her 13th daughter, a little girl from Japan named Lydia Rose (or is it Lydia Hope? I can't remember! LOL)! Isn't that wonderful? The way things are going they may have her before Christmas; what a wonderful Christmas this is going to be for the Williams family! And what a wonderful Christmas present: a new daughter from Japan!
Well, Sari, nothing much is new, other than me cleaning the house and getting it ready for our company; and also waiting for Thursday! I can't wait to see my daughters, grandkids, or my friends again!! I will write more later, when all this is over; until then, this is your friend saying Nakemiin! (Is that how you spell it??)
