Johnny continues his occasional ramblings on his online journal that he keeps as a way to express any feelings he may have inside of him. He writes about the recent Thanksgiving holidays spent with family and friends, and he writes about Christmas shopping, school matters, and other situations.

Dear Journal~
Hi! This is Johnny!
I have had a much better time of it since the last time I wrote. Last time I wrote I had a bad day to end all bad days: everything that could have possibly gone wrong did; and I was feeling mighty bummed! But I am in a much better mood, and my body is behaving itself (for ONCE!); I feel stronger than I have in days, and I feel like I can take on the world! HO HAW! LOL
We had a nice Thanksgiving: my older sisters Lightning, Tanya, Dwerlina, Melizza, and Dianna all came home, and Lightning brought her kids (my cousins), and I got to meet (and hold) my little twin cousins Tyrell and Tyreese for the first time; and they were sooo cute! They looked like little Buddha babies; they were both really fat, and they were sooo aDORable! They kept making these little squeaking noises, and they were fun to watch! I also saw my other cousins Danny, LeAndre', and Jamee, and they are all getting so big! Jamee is going to be seven next year, and she is getting tall! She is going to be tall like my Uncle (her daddy, my uncle!)! Danny and LeAndre' are getting big, too, and the last time I saw them, they were little bitty. They were babies the last time I saw them; now they are little boys! Lightning, Tanya, Dwerlina (and her boyfriend), Melizza, and Dianna all looked great, and it was so nice to see them again! It was almost like old times, and we had a blast!
We also had company from Alaska (Jenna Whitson and her husband, Michael Doucet, and their friend, Sikik Eegeesiak), Texas (the Pearsons: two parents, twelve kids), and California (the Williams family: single mom Kendra and her twelve daughters; soon there will be 13; they are adopting another little girl, but this one is going to be from Japan; and her name is going to be Lydia Hope). We had a lot of people going in and out of our house, and there was much laughter (and even some tears). We went out to eat for Thanksgiving: we went to the Golden Corral (it was about the only place open; most of the other places were closed), and we pigged out on turkey and all the trimmin's. I know I did; I think I gained at least a million pounds! LOL
It was sunny for Thanksgiving; but I got hurt. I got a bloody nose when someone threw a football, and it smacked me right in the puss. I think it was Ronee': she isn't too good of a thrower; and her aim is usually way off. I was a bit mad at her, but I was more mad at myself because I had a busted up face for our annual Thanksgiving picture-taking, and it looked like I got beat up bad. I DID; I got beat up with a football, thanks to SmartyPants Ronee'! Oh, I was so mad at her! I bet my friends will make comments about "who beat YOU up?" or something stupid; and I don't want to talk about it! It was emBARRassing!
I was also mad because I didn't have my HUMMER, and I was hoping I could have shown my cousins LeAndre' and Jamee my HUMMER; but it got broken when stupid Kwame' sat on it with his stupid butt, and now I am HUMMERless. They were really disappointed in not seeing it because I had been telling them about it for weeks, and they were really looking forward to playing with it!
Maybe Santa will bring me a new HUMMER for Christmas....
Speaking of Christmas, we went out at the crack of dawn on Friday, and by ten, we were getting cranky; and we wanted nothing more to do with this holiday shopping stuff. I wanted to be back home in my nice, warm bed, or at least playing with my Tetris or SOMETHING instead of having to spend all boring morning looking at boring clothes or boring games or boring books at the BORING mall! It didn't help matters any when JoJo downloaded in her diapies when we were in a crowded elevator; the smell was rather powerful, and it was starting to make me sick. It was disGUSTing! I know people smelled her, and I was wishing that I could have fallen right through the elevator floor or that she wasn't my sister! Older sisters aren't supposed to make messes, and older sisters aren't supposed to wear diapers, but Jodie is special needs, and she has a lot of problems. She can't help herself, but I do wish she'd learn HOW to use the bathroom like the big girl that she really IS!!
I also had a problem at the mall: I was sitting in the lobby, waiting for mama, when I felt the telltale cold sensation; and I knew exactly what had happened: I had let my catheter bag get too full again, and I had wee wee'ed myself; and it was NOT a good feeling! I started to cry, and mama took me to the bathroom where she then took care of me, and I was feeling pretty low by the time we got back. I felt worse than a baby, and I was wondering if I needed to wear one of JoJo's diapers!
I had my tests at school, and miracle of miracles, I PASSED! I got A's and B's in my midterms! I studied hard, and I guess it showed because when I got my tests back, I was like, "No way! It has to be somebody else, NOT me!" but it WAS me! I was so proud of myself, and mama was so happy she cried right in front of everyone! (Mama is a champion crier: it seems any little thing, good OR bad, can bring on the tears!!) I got to go to my favorite restaurant that night: I got to go to Chuck E. Cheese's for pizza, and I got spoiled! I was loving every minute of it! I was one happy little boy, let me tell you!!
Now it is Monday, and we are back at school; and our company is about gone. Only Dwerlina and her boy toy are left; they will leave to go back to Louisiana on Wednesday because the weather has been bad, and they wanted to wait until the rough weather was over. They had some tornadoes down there, and flooding, and they wanted to make sure that all the bad weather was over and done before they attempted to go back to Lafayette. I already miss my cousins and my other sisters, and I miss Jenna, Michael, and Sikik; I wish they lived HERE instead of in faraway, cold ALASKA!! Kendra left yesterday, with her brood, and I loved them too; they are a cool family! I also miss the Pearsons; I miss Brandt and Adam, and I miss playing football with them! (But my poor nose, which is still bruised and swollen, doesn't!)
Well, I will go now; I am going to write to Santa and tell him what I want for Christmas; I want to get it in before it is too late! I will write more in here, Journal, another time; until then, take care, and be good!
~Love, your pal, Johnn-o (bruised nose and all!). :)
Karen...another wonderful story, that I enjoyed very much. You have a real talent, I think anyway, for vivid, life-like characters that really gives these works impact. Well done.
((((Karen)))
Heartbreaking write, but very well done
God Bless

Oh lord those cathether bags can be embarrassing. I was so glad when I finally got rid of mine. But sometimes I wonder about diapers when complications from radiation comes back on me.
