Dear Kendra~
Hey! Thank you so much for writing; I was just starting to wonder about you...LOL Glad you are still around; I haven't heard from you in a while, and I was just starting to wonder what has been going on with you...
I am sorry to hear that Louisa Mason has been under the weather, but I am glad that she felt well enough yesterday to go to church with y'all! I bet she got a lot out of it; I know I do whenever I go to church! I didn't go yesterday because I have been taking care of Ronee', who is sick with a terrible cold, and I have been busy running around town, be it picking up prescriptions for the kids and my hubby, getting some last minute items for Christmas, getting some wrapping paper, tape, and labels for the gifts that I will be wrapping, and so on. THEN, last night, we got some unexpected company: our friends from Anchorage, Alaska, the Doucets, came, and they are spending the night with us. We did NOT expect to see Michael or Jenna, but it sure is nice to see them! They will be leaving in the morning, as they are on their way to Lake Charles, Louisiana, to spend Christmas with Michael's family; and they wanted to stop by to bring us their gifts for the kids, and also wish us a happy holiday! Wasn't that nice of them? I sure do love Michael and Jenna: Michael and Jenna compliment each other perfectly, and Michael takes such good care of her! Jenna is so blessed to have a caring husband like Michael!!
I am happy to know that you made it back safely, and I am glad that you had a good time over Thanksgiving! We enjoyed having you come, and we really enjoyed spending our time with you! But as you know, our joy of the season has been somewhat tempered by the death of my little niece, Cajun Marie. Cajun was only six; and she had a lot of serious health problems that affected just about every aspect of her young life. She couldn't see, hear, or talk, and she was in a wheelchair and was tube-fed; but she was still a very happy little girl, and she knew in her own special way that she was loved and how to give love back to those who loved her most. But now little Cajun has a new body, and she is with Jesus, and for her, the long road of suffering has finally come to a peaceful ending; but it still isn't easy, as she died so close to Christmas, and for us, the holiday isn't as joyful. We will have to take it one day at a time, and we know that we can't rush our time of mourning and sorrow; but I am glad that she is now at peace! We were lucky to have her for six wonderful years, and she was one of the lights of my life; and she will never be forgotten by any of us!
Thank you for your prayers and good wishes; they are much appreciated, and I am so blessed to call you friend! You have been there in my darkest moments, and I certainly hope that I can be as much of a friend to you as you have been to me!
Have you heard anything about Lydia Hope yet? I hope that she comes soon; I know you must be anticipating her arrival! Let me know if you hear anything about her, okay?? I am all ears!!
I have heard from Rebekkah Rachel, and also from her mother, Naomi; what a special little girl she is! She talks about you and Louisa all the time, and she seems to be a really caring and compassionate young lady! She is not only writing to me: she also has been writing to my children, Johnny and Ronee', and they have formed a nice friendship!
How is the weather over there in Soulsbysville? Here it's finally stopped raining; and it is rather cool; winter is most definitely on its way! I can feel it in my bones; and it won't be long before the first snowflakes start flying! We may get some snow by this time next week, according to the weather folks! I hope so; it's a good way to get into the season!
We went to a Christmas festival/tree lighting on Saturday night; and Ronee' performed, as did several other acts; but then yesterday, she got sick, and she is sneezing and coughing her head off. She really sounds awful, and I am sure she is miserable! Tomorrow we may take her to the doctor's after Jenna and Michael leave, and I will have to pick up some cold medicines for her! She felt so bad yesterday she didn't even go to church, and she spent today in bed after she got home from therapy. She is still in bed as I write this, and I can hear her hacking away! I hope none of the others get sick; we do NOT need a houseful of sick kids, especially when it is so close to Christmas!! That would NOT be at ALL good!!
Well, I had better go. Ronee' threw up; have to clean her up and make sure she is okay, so I will let you go. I will write more later. Poor kid is crying; she absolutely HATES to throw up!! Until later, take care, and God bless!
Toodles!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tennessee, Louie May.
P.S.: Was rather relieved to hear about the verdict for Scott Peterson. He deserves to die after what he did to his wife and unborn baby son! He is no man; he is a MONSTER, and he got what he deserved!!
Let this coming of age story of a boy named Bean take you back to a simple time. Set in a small southern town in the 1960's, encircled by a river and gleaming white cotton fields.
A wicked Cajun Fairy named Robes Pierre entered the impenetrable Magical doll land of Sha Bebe. Queen Faustina, the ruler of the doll land, thought she had destroyed him, but he's back! Will the doll land survive his evil ways?
