Shalom! It is your friend in Tennessee, Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux, again! Thanks for writing; it is always good to hear from you again!
I am happy to know that Louisa Mason is doing better. That is always a huge relief! I have been keeping her and her family in prayer; and I have been praying for you too. I am glad that you are doing well and that you have managed to stay out of the hospital. As you and I very well know from experience, being in the hospital is never any fun!! I am also happy to know that Kendra Williams is getting ready to adopt that little girl from Japan! That is too cool!
Yes, I heard about the death of that politician, Robert Matsue, but I really don't know all that much about him. You or your mom will have to tell me more about him and what he has done; but from what you have said, he must have been an awfully good man! I also know that he was of Japanese heritage. But that is all I really know about him!
The weather here is nice, it is partly cloudy and rather coolish; not too bad. It rained all day yesterday, but it's since moved on out, and of course, I am back at school. Oh, well, at least I don't have to be stuck inside all day; I can go out during recess and swing on the swings, which is what I usually do when I go out to recess! I also love to play dodgeball or turn the jump-rope for my friends.
That is sad about all those people dying in that tsunami/earthquake; and I am glad you want to help. I am collecting money from my neighborhood, and when I get some more in the way of donations, I am donating it to the Red Cross. I am also going to be singing at a special benefit concert they are having for the victims of the disaster; I was just notified about it last night, after I wrote to you, and I am really stoked about it! I consider it an honor to be asked to perform at such a noteworthy event; this is going to help a lot of deserving people, and we get to make others feel good in the process! It's a win-win situation all around, and I love helping people in need! It gives me such a nice, warm, fuzzy feeling inside! :)
I am sorry you are having such rotten weather in Cali! I wish I could send you some sunshine; but it's been rotten here too lately, and it's only since yesterday when the weather cleared enough for the water to dry up and to where we could go outside to play! We may get some snow by next week, and it is supposed to get sharply colder, thanks to another Arctic front that may be visiting our area! I pray that the rotten rainy weather eases for y'all soon over there!
Maman heard from her friend in Finland, Sari Gustaffssenn, and she was glad to have heard from her at last. She wrote her and her boyfriend, Nikolas Constantinos (he's from Greece, in Athens, and they are since engaged to be married; they are getting married in the spring, so Sari will soon be known as Sari Annike Constantinos!), and she is awaiting a letter from them. Nikolas is staying with Sari in Finland until the spring, where they will then go back to his home in Greece, and they will then get ready for their wedding. Maman and daddy are going to Greece for the wedding, which I think is too cool. It's too bad we kids don't get to go, but that's okay...maybe maman will bring us back some baklava or some lamb! YUMM! :P (*She says, licking chops hungrily*)
It sounds like you made out like a bandit too, for Christmas! I am glad you got some nice things; I know I did! I really am going to enjoy my new DVD player, and I am really going to enjoy my new music CD's! I love country/western and Cajun music the best, but I also love rap (AS LONG as the lyrics are clean; I don't like that nasty rap that disses women or promotes violence; that's stupid!!), rhythm and blues, rock and roll (but not that screechy, guitar type; that hurts my ears! OW!), southern gospel (okay, ALL gospel, really, but I love southern gospel the best; also praise and worship type stuff!), and bluegrass. I also love Broadway and show tunes, and I love some jazz (NOT blues or big band, but Dixieland and New Orleans jazz is cool!). I love just about all music; even classical, Native American, and Mexican (conjunto and mariachi) music. I am a regular music fan: as long as it isn't big band, blues, or screechy, metal rock (or that nasty rap!), I'll listen to it (and more than likely, I'll be enjoying the heck out of it)! :) What kind of music do you like, Rebekkah? I don't think you told me, but I DO remember you saying that you like Reba. I love her too; she is really sweet, and she is such an all-around, dynamic entertainer! But as much as I DO love Reba, I think the all around greatest entertainer of all time is Loretta! She is a legend, and she still can play with the big boys! She still knows how to draw a crowd, and she still knows how to entertain! :)
