Louisiana emails her family on her laptop while enroute to Sri Lanka. She lets them know just how much she already misses them, and she wishes that she could still be there.
Monday, the 10th of January, 2005 (late; I am somewhere over the ocean, heading towards Sri Lanka; will be at least several more hours of flying!)~
My Dear Precious Family~
Hi! This is your wife/mother writing. I am still in the air someplace on Air India Airlines; I am over the ocean now as our plane heads towards Sri Lanka. I don't know when we will land; but it feels like we have been in the air forever, and my bum is so sore from sitting; and my sciatic nerve is letting me know just how unhappy it is! It is really sounding off! I am about ready to ask Dr. Emmons for some MORPHINE to help dull the pain! OW! LOL
We are all fine; but we are incredibly tired. We are looking forward to helping out the people of Sri Lanka in their time of desperate need; but I just wanted to let you know that I am missing you all so much, and I wish that I could be there with you all! But as you know, God told me to do this, and when He speaks, we had best heed what He has to say. Which is why I am on this mission of mercy in the first place. I hope you understand why I am doing this, and why it is so important to me.
I will be sure to call you when I can get to a phone, to let you know that I am in Sri Lanka; but I can't guarantee any promises. There has been a lot of damage to the airport, and to surrounding areas; and there is no telling WHAT we may find upon entering Sri Lanka. Still, I DO have my cell phone, and I CAN call you when I get to Sri Lanka! I know it will be hot and steamy there; so I have plenty of warm, summertime clothes. No wintertime stuff for me while I am here: I'd probably MELT! And the funny thing is, I am CAJUN, and I am from the hot, steamy bayou country of Louisiana, so the heat should not bother me (MUCH)!
I haven't heard from Jenna or Michael yet, but I guess they won't write until I am back from Sri Lanka (or maybe they will write before I get back). I hope they are okay; I have been thinking about them lately...I have also been thinking of Sari and Nikolas, and I have been thinking of M'Buti and how she is faring without Roberto. Roberto is sitting next to me, and he is sleeping. He looks like Jubaki: his lips are pooched out, and he looks just like a little boy! He is too cute! I wish I could take his picture, but he may end up killing me if I did that! LOL Still, it would be a great gag gift, if you know what I mean...LOL I pray (and hope) nothing happens to M'Buti while Roberto is gone; she'd be in a lot of dire straits!
I just remembered: Ronee' had her audition for "America's Most Talented Kids" today. How did she do? You will have to let me know about all the bloody details next time I write! Oh, I hope she made it to "America's Most Talented Kids"! That would be a huge dream come true for her! I also hope that Johnny is getting over his boredom; you are going to have to find something for him to do before he ends up pulling out his hair!! I know wintertime is the hardest time for him, because baseball season isn't in full swing (get it? LOL), and he just loves the game! Maybe you can suggest that he work on his book; he had been talking about writing his life story, as Ronee' has done; maybe it will become a best seller, and he could be the "next big thing" in writing! :)
Are the kids behaving or staying out of trouble? They'd better or I will lower the boom on them when I return from Sri Lanka! Just because I am not there doesn't give them the right to act up because I WILL punish them when I get back if I heard of any monkeyshines they may have gotten involved in! You tell them to be good, or I will deal with them when I get back! How is your health holding out, and is Anh, Michael, and Richard still eating us out of house and home? You had better seriously think of getting a PADLOCK for the refrigerator, or there won't be any food left for the rest of the little ones! Man alive, I never knew three growing boys could eat so much! Oh, ye' yaie!! They eat worse than ELEPHANTS! LOL
Email me when you can; I am going to eat now. The stewardesses are coming around with the food; I can smell the food, and it smells mighty tempting! I will write more later; until then, you take care, and know just how much I love and miss you guys! See you soon; I shall write you every day if need be! God bless you all, and continue to keep me in your prayers! I can use all the prayers I can possibly get!!
Thanks!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your wife/mother, Louisiana Mayrah (enroute to Sri Lanka). :)

Let this coming of age story of a boy named Bean take you back to a simple time. Set in a small southern town in the 1960's, encircled by a river and gleaming white cotton fields.
A wicked Cajun Fairy named Robes Pierre entered the impenetrable Magical doll land of Sha Bebe. Queen Faustina, the ruler of the doll land, thought she had destroyed him, but he's back! Will the doll land survive his evil ways?
