Ronee' writes her latest entry into her journal; she writes about Roberto becoming a daddy for the fourth, fifth, and six time (his wife, M'Buti, had triplets), and she also writes about her friend, Marvella, who had a stroke and is now in the hospital.

Dear Journal~
I am a mixed bag of emotions today: happy because my friends Roberto and M'Buti Sormiento, had triplet boys three days ago (I am happy to tell you that mama and her babies are all doing very well at last report, according to Roberto!), and sad because my friend from school, Marvella Johnson, is in the hospital. She had a stroke yesterday, and she is now in the Intensive Care ward of the hospital.
I am trying to pray for Marvella, but the truth is, I am still in a state of shock; it seems funny, but when I saw Marvella at school on Friday, on the bus, she seemed okay, and there seemed to be no warning whatsoever that she was even going to HAVE a stroke; but then yesterday, she was at home, doing the dishes, when she grabbed her head, cried out, and collapsed; and ever since, she has been in the hospital, fighting for her very life. I pray that she makes it; she is such a nice girl, and even though I don't know her all that well, she is still a great friend, and to hear that she is so sick is very upsetting to me. I have had a stroke myself (it happened four years ago, and I still have some minor leftover symptoms from it, like the tingly yet numbish feeling in my one hand and arm, as an example), and it wasn't any fun! It took me a very long time to get over it, and now, whenever people see me, they don't think I had a stroke because I get around so well, and I look--well, like a typical kid. I will have to put my friend on the prayer list at my church, Christ Community Assembly of God, and have the church pray for her!
Yet, on the other end of the spectrum, I am as pleased as pleased can be because my good friends, Roberto and M'Buti Sormiento, became parents. They had triplets, all boys, and they already have three kids, twins aged 2 1/2 (they will be three years old on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2005), and an older boy, who will be seven in June, on the 26th (which is my half-birthday; I will officially become a teenager this year on Christmas Day, December 25, 2005!). I was hoping that M'Buti wouldn't have any problems with her pregnancy, but on Thursday, her water broke, and she was six months pregnant. I hope and pray that her little boys will be okay, and that they have no lasting problems! I will have to put Roberto, M'Buti, Jubaki, Kibarake, Eshe, and the triplets (they still don't have names) on the prayer list at my church! (Lots of people to pray for! YIKES! God is going to be very busy...not that He already IS!!)
I had a fairly good weekend; at least I am no longer hurting (okay, maybe a LITTLE, but it is definitely a LOT better than yesterday and the day before: we had some serious rain come through Nashville, and it really played havoc on my bod; had to use my wheelchair because it was so hard and painful for me to walk; but today, I am not using it; I am walking as I usually do, and for once, my joints have managed to behave themselves and keep their protests to a very dull roar!), and at least I am not sick! I hope and pray I don't get sick; I have so far avoided the flu this winter, and I haven't had but one cold and a few arthritis flares; but other than that, I have been doing GREAT with my health! My brother, Johnny, has also been doing very well with his health; he hasn't had any seizures or problems with his breathing, and it has been quite a while since we have had to call for an ambulance to come to our place. I hope this trend continues; I hate seeing the white ambulance coming to our place; it is so stressful, and it is so scary!!
Maman is going to see her doctor tomorrow; she has an appointment at two in the afternoon. She has been having problems with her sciatic nerve acting up, and she has been walking on crutches ever since she got back from Sri Lanka on Wednesday (four days ago; she got home in the afternoon). I pray she doesn't need any surgery or has to go into the hospital; that is one thing we do NOT need! But she IS miserable, and I really feel sorry for her! It is so hard to function when you are in so much pain (believe me, I know that VERY well!!)! I will let you know what happens at her appt.; stay tuned~
Well, I gotta' eat my supper; am going to church, and I don't want to be late! I have to be there by five thirty at the VERY latest; and the pastor doesn't like anyone to be late if they can help it! So I gotta' scoot! 'Bye for now! Write in here more later!

Very Mixed emotions there. Wonderfully wriitten Got the celebration of life and all the hardships that come with aging past 30. This is a great story Thank you and hope you and all your friends stay well and all the best only to fill your days.
