Ronee' writes her mother a letter, to offer her encouragement after her mother found out that she needs to have back surgery in the coming months.

Dear Maman~
I was so sorry to hear that you need to have surgery on your back; I wish you didn't have to face this in your life, but you have got to learn to put it at the Foot of the Cross and trust in the Lord COMPLETELY and FULLY to help you get through this trial that you are now facing.
I was so worried yesterday: I cried and I fretted the entire time you were at the doctor's, and when you came home, looking so defeated, I knew in my heart that the news wasn't that good. When you told us you needed to have surgery on your back, to relieve the pain, I felt my heart fall to my toes; but maybe it will help you in the long run once you recover from your surgery. All you have to do is be strong, and all you have to do is think positively, that you are going to make it through this thing in one piece!
You know Dr. Stryker is a good neurosurgeon; and you also know that he is a terrific doctor. You are already in good hands because you have two of the best doctors who are going to do their best to take care of you: Dr. Harlowe and also Dr. Stryker! Well, if I were facing back surgery, I wouldn't want any better doctor to operate on me than Dr. Stryker or Dr. Harlowe! You have had back surgery before, and you did well the first time; what's to say you won't do just as well this time around? And besides, you may no longer have the pain that you have had to live with for so long, and you may even get around easier! You may end up no longer needing the crutches; and you may even get to do things you couldn't even do before because of the back problems you had! Just think: you may even be able to go jogging, swimming, or maybe even do backflips! LOL Just think of the positives, and don't think of the negatives! You are a very strong person, Maman, and if I know you, I think you can make it through the surgery and the recovery period just fine!! I have been in surgery before (on one than more occasion!), and I made it through each surgery (and it was partly because of your tender, loving care and your prayers and support!)! You will do the same; I believe in you!! :)
I just wanted to write to you to offer you my prayers and my comfort, and I also want to know just how much I love you and care for you! I don't like this any better than you do, but trust me: you are going to do SPLENDIDLY!! I will be praying for you like I never have before, and I know that you are going to come through the surgery just fine!
