Ronee' writes another entry into her journal.
Saturday, January 29, 2005, 1:00 p.m., C.S.T.~

Dear Journal~

Hi! This is Ronee' writing; I felt like writing so here I am! :)

Today is a boring, ugly, grey day out. It is also misting, but nothing really to cause my joints to go into an uproar, so that is good. I am feeling really good, but I noticed something new that I never noticed before: I am starting to get the first pimples on my face, by my ears and my forehead; and they look gross; but maman said that was only the start of acne, which are pimples that teenagers get. She said that I will have to watch what I eat (as if I already don't, what with my food allergies! GRR!) and to make sure that I really wash myself clean; and to put stuff for pimples on my face or whereever I have the pimples. She said it is nothing to worry about, but if I get a bad breakout, I can then go to Dr. Emmons, who can probably give me some special medication to get rid of them.

I also have noticed that my armpits smell when I sweat, and it is embarrassing; but maman said that is normal, too. I am turning into a teenager, but if you ask me, being a teenager is pretty rotten: between pimples and worrying how you smell! :( So maman is going to get me some deoderant that I can start wearing when I get dressed or take a bath. GRR!

I do love my hair, though: as Johnny told you in his journal, I did get a permanent, and I think I look really cute in a perm! I still have my little girly face, but somehow I also look older, and I think more sophisticated. But Johnny made me mad on the day I got it: he said it looked like my head threw up, which hurt my feelings. Maman had him apologize to me because she said that wasn't very nice! But since then, Johnny and I have been trying hard to get along better, and we haven't had a fight in over two days, so I guess we are making progress!

I still am not that nervous yet about going to Hollywood next month; maybe when the date gets closer I will start to get butterflies in my belly; but right now I don't even want to think of it. I still watch "America's Most Talented Kids" every week, and I am really looking forward to going to tape the show! That is going to be so exciting! I will get to meet Dave Coulier, who previously starred on one of my favorite shows, "Full House", and I will also get to meet Scarlett Pomers ("Reba"), Darrell Sabara ("Spy Kids"), and Bobby'e J. Thompson ("The Tracy Morgan Show", and he is also a formidable little rap artist) and maybe some of the other contestants who will be at the taping with me. For the show I am going to still sing "When You Believe" from the movie, "The Prince of Egypt". But in case I don't want to do that, I just may take my Cajun accordion with me and do "Jambalaya" instead; it depends on what I feel like doing, I guess. I just hope I do well enough, and I hope the judges (or the audience members) like me. And I hope I don't royally screw up; I'd DIE if that were to happen to me!! :(

Nicole and I have since made up from our fight, but she still seems "distant" somehow. Maybe it's coz she knows my show taping is coming up, and she is worried that I will "somehow forget about her" when I am in Hollywood, but I keep telling her that she is being rediculous. Nicole is my FRIEND, and I would never do anything so dumb in my life! She ought to know me better than that! For goodness sakes! But at least we are talking again and sharing the same seat on the bus when we go to and from school on the days when I don't have therapy!

Maman is still scared about her upcoming back surgery (natch, I don't really blame her!), but I told her that she will do great. I wish I could take away some of the fears that she is facing, but I am not God, and I keep telling her to put it at the foot of the Cross; and put it in HIS Hands! She is back at work, but she is only working five hours a day, and she is now off on the weekends, which is great because she can keep tabs on us brats! LOL

Well, I will go for now, I am going to have my lunch. I am having hotdogs and baked beans, and I am also having cuke salad. I will also have to take my lunch time meds, and I will then watch Nickolodeon, I guess, or play some games on my 'puter, anything to keep my happy little bored self occupied! So bye for now! C ya!

~Luv, your friend, Ronee' Le-Anne, aged 12. :D

P.S.: Don't cha just love the pic of the running cheetah I put on here? I LUV cheetahs, they are so fast, and they are so pretty! Next to domesticated cats or dogs, they are probably my very favorite of all the animals in God's Kingdom! I would love to go to Africa and see the cheetah in their native habitat before they become extinct; that would be too cool! :)

Stuff You Can Say Everyday by D. Mullis

My son wrote a book of his personal, one liner quotes. Never underestimate the power of simple statements! A very interesting read!
