Dear Rebekkah, Dancin' Queen of Sacramento~
Hey! Thanks for writing, and thanks for sharing your news! That is way better than mine!! WOW! "Swan Lake"! And YOU are going to be in it! KEWL! I am so happy for you! Maybe while I am in Hollywood, we can swing out there and catch you "in action"! That'd be something! I just love to watch ballet dancers; they are so graceful, and they remind me of swans or gazelles! So pretty to watch! I am glad you can do some of those moves; I am just afraid that my body won't let me! LOL Oh, well...I guess that is the reason why I SING! I would LOVE to see you dance; I bet you are getting good at it by now! :)
I am getting excited about going to Hollywood for my tv taping, but I am now starting to get butterflies in my stomach whenever I think of all those people who will be watching me. I am just glad that daddy is going with me; I wish maman was, but she has to have surgery on her back as you know, and she can't get out of it. I just hope (and PRAY!) that maman does well during her surgery! We have our church praying for her, and all the friends we know are praying for her; so I guess she doesn't have to worry about a thing now, does she?? Our prayers are at the Cross, and Jesus will take care of things, so maman is in good hands (WITH OUR LORD *sung to the tune of "With All State", as they say in their commercial! LOL*)! :) I also hope I don't flub up during my appearance on "America's Most Talented Kids"; that'd be MY luck! LOL I also hope I don't fall; that'd be too emBARrassing! LOL
How is your mom? And your dad? I hope they are well; my family is fine, but my mom is having surgery, as I just told you. She will be in the hospital for about a week, and then she will be at home, recovering. She won't be able to do much at first until her back heals, but hopefully she will be able to get off the crutches. She used to use crutches once, you know, right after her accident when she was a child, but that was before God even thought of me. She was just a child of nine when that happened to her, and as long as I can remember, as long as I have been with her, maman has always had problems with her back, and she has always lived with pain and disability. So maybe this surgery will help her, and she will then have a life of her own, one without pain or disability. That would be so wonderful, I know my maman loves to be active, and this may open up a whole new world for her! :)
Did I tell you about my haircut? Well, my hair IS shorter, but it still goes to the middle of my back, but I got a perm in it, and it looks soooo cute! I have curls upon CURLS, and I think it makes me look...well, sophisticated, and I LUV it!! I love the way it feels, and I love how it looks! I will have to send you a picture of me sporting my new 'do, so you can see what I look like now! I have BIG HAIR, and I look KEWL! :)
I still have these darn ol' braces on my teeth; still have a LITTLE while to go before I can get THEM taken off, but I have gotten used to them, and they are PINK; they aren't really THAT bad looking, but I have to spend extra time taking care of my teeth, and it's a PAIN! I will be SOOOO glad when I get them taken off, and I will then have STRAIGHT teeth! I had the braces put on when I was eight, eight-and-a-half, and I have had them on for about four years now. But they SHOULD be off fairly soon! :) My teeth ARE in fairly good shape, but I am prone to dental problems because of all the meds I am on, and I also have this stupid systemic arthritis, and I have always had some problems with my teeth, ever since I was small. I am prone to gum disease, and so I have to be careful. But that is gross, so I might as well get off that subject before I get my tummy in an uproar; EWWW, EWWWW, EWWWW! LOL
Guess what! More news...Sikik Eegeesiak, my friend in Alaska, wants Johnny to come up there for a week, and stay with her. I hope he gets to go; he hardly goes anywhere excepting with us, and he really doesn't get to do much. He is bored, beyond bored, and he and I have been fighting lately (but we ARE trying to get along better; we haven't had a major fight now in about a month!), and it's been a PAIN. And Johnny would get to stay with Sikik, and experience HER world, which would be a great learning experience for him! Sikik has already written to my mom about Johnny, and maman is still trying to come up with an answer, to see if Johnny can go or not. I hope maman says Johnny can go to Alaska; if not, I will be SOOO MAD!!
EWWW, EWWWW, EWWWW!!!! A WATERBUG just crawled on my ARM, and my cat, "Cajun", is now EATING it! GAD!! I gotta' stop and get off here before I lose my belly! GROSS!! So before I lose it, I am getting off here! I will write more later! Again, thanks for writing, it is so nice to hear from you again! Congratz on your upcoming performance in "Swan Lake"! I hope to see you there while I am in Cali! That'd be too KEWL!

Thought I was done in here, but I guess I'm not...Remember when I mentioned about my friend from school, Marvella Johnson, who had a stroke? Well, she isn't doing well; she is hanging on by a thread...we have been praying for her, but she is still critically ill, and there's a possibility that she may die. I hope not, but if she does, I will have to learn to accept it (it will be very hard because she was a friend of mine, and she was nearly my age) and try to go on; but it may take a while...still, all I CAN do is hope for the best and put my friend at the foot of the Cross. I will let you more as soon as I hear anything new...
