Dear Jenna Aurora (and also Michael)~
Hello, you two lovebirds! :) How are you guys doing? Here'e hoping this finds you well; it was so nice to hear from you again! Thanks ever so much for writing!
I really loved that picture of the aurora borealis you put on your letter, Jenna. That was spectacular! Was that a picture that you took, or was it one you got off the Internet? Anyway, Jenna, it was really pretty, and it made me homesick for you guys--and for Alaska, in general! LOL
I am glad you are learning to accept your difficulties, Jenna. I know it is never easy at first, but once you find a way to do things, or have the support, things become a lot easier. I know; I have been where you are at now. Now I am facing back surgery in just four days, and I AM a little scared; but all I can do is pray and trust completely in God and let Him take care of things, as only He can! I have a lot of people praying for me (including you guys; thanks!), so I needn't worry my pretty little head now! LOL All I can do is pray and hope that all this pain and/or disability that I have had for so long will be overwith!
Ronee' leaves for Hollywood on the 23rd, and I have my surgery on the 23rd, four more days from now. That is the day Ronee' and Bill leave for Hollywood, so there is no way I can see them off. My daddy, Armand, and my older children will take care of things and hold down the fort while I am "under the knife", and my daughter from Louisiana, Dwerlina, will be with me while I have my surgery. I will be in the hospital for about a week (barring complications), and then I should be home, where I will then continue my recovery from my back surgery. I know Ronee' must be starting to feel the butterflies working in her belly as she thinks of her upcoming taping, and I know she is nervous! But I told her that she will do just fine, and I told her that I would be praying for her! Ronee' tapes her segment sometime next week, and she will be back from her Hollywood Adventure the following week. The show will then air during the summer sometime, so we will definitely be waiting to see her on tv!
Barbara is feeling somewhat better, but she is still coughing. At least she isn't having the nosebleeds any longer, but she still feels pretty awful, especially when she coughs. She saw her pediatrician, and he gave her some medication to clear out her sinuses and get rid of the congestion that has settled in her chest. Thank you for asking about her. She will appreciate the concern very much!
M'Buti is busy with six kids. She had triplet boys on the 20th of January, 2005, and the boys are all doing well (although two of them are still in the hospital as of this writing; but it shan't be long before they join their one brother, who is at home with his big brothers, big sisters, and his mommy and daddy!). M'Buti is pretty weakened from her experience, so it may be a while before you hear from her again. But I WILL tell her that you say hello, and that you would like her to write to you. Is that okay, Jenna? Let me know, okay? Thanks!
Oh! I have some good news concerning Johnny and Barbara: they will be going to see Sikik Eegeesiak in Barrow as soon as I am well enough; Sikik invited Johnny to come up for a week to spend time with her in Alaska, and I am also letting Barbara go because she is so responsible and mature for her age. She is also very good with Johnny and his medical needs, and she knows how to handle emergencies whenever they arise. At first, I was worried, but then I got to thinking that Johnny has had a good period as of late (that is, he hasn't had any unexpected problems or hospital stays), so maybe this will be a very good learning experience for him. So he is going to Alaska in the next several months, as is Barbara. You will have to give them a call when they are at Sikik's; they'd LOVE to hear from you or Michael!
How is the weather up there, Jenna? Here's hoping it warms up soon; but 15-20 degrees still sounds a bit on the chilly side; and it is a mite TOO cold for this little Cajun mama! Here it is cloudy, with rain due to move in sometime later today or tonight. I know it; my body is singing (and NOT for joy, either)! LOL Have you seen any more auroras? I hope we see some this year; they are always a treat to watch whenever they decide to wander this far south! :)
Well, Jenna-Belle, I will let you go. I have to feed Jodie, and I also have to change Todd; he did a good one in his diapers, and he is smelling pretty strong now. *PHEW!* He is lying there, looking up at me with those huge brown eyes of his, and he is looking mighty proud of himself! LOL Such a silly he is! I will write more later; I probably won't write until after I am back home from the hospital and as soon as I am feeling a little stronger. I thank you for the prayers; they will really come in handy! Just keep me in your thoughts is all I ask! Until next time, this is Louie saying "Toodles!"
