Ronee', on her way home to Tennessee, from California, writes her friend Rebekkah a letter while on the airplane.
Friday, February 25, 2005 (somewhere in the air, headed east from California)~
Dear Rebekkah Rachel~
Thank you so much for being there at the studios as I sang on "America's Most Talented Kids"! It really helped seeing y'all there, and it was a pleasure to have finally met you, Rebekkah! You are really cute, and you are really nice! So are you parents, David and Naomi! It was also thrilling to see the Williams family, and also Louisa Mason and her kids; what a wonderful surprise y'all pulled on me!
I was quite surprised I did as well as I did, actually...I didn't think I would score as high as I did. Third place out of seven kids...that isn't too bad, if you ask me! I think I did rather well! :) It was an honor just to BE there, and I had fun on stage! I am glad that they liked me, and I am glad I didn't mess up; but I could feel myself shaking...could you see that I was shaking?? I hope not! LOL My innards were shaking like a bowlful of jello! LOL But now it is over, and I will have to wait for it to come on television, and I can watch it! (I hope I looked okay while I was on stage! Don't want any unexpected surprises, if you know what I mean! LOL) It was neat meeting Dave Coulier, the host, and it was neat meeting the judges (Scarlett Pomers, Bobby'e J. Thompson, and Darryl Sabora); and it was nice meeting the other contestants who appeared with me! I got more autographs, and pretty soon I will have to get yet another autograph book! The six I already have are chock full of signatures, and there will soon be a seventh, at the rate I am going! LOL
The weather was kind of yucky while I was there; leave it until yesterday evening before the rains finally quit; grrrr!! I had to stay in the hotel most of that time, but it WAS nice getting to go out to the Hard Rock Cafe', and it was fun going to Disneyland yesterday! I am STILL tired from it today; good thing I sat in a wheelchair yesterday instead of walking all over the park on my crutches; there would be NO WAY I'd be able to do that all day! I'd be so tired it would be a miracle if my arms didn't fall off! LOL I saw some of the shows, and I got to ride a FEW of the rides; so at least my Disneyland experience wasn't a TOTAL washout! At least I had fun; that is the most important thing! :)
Daddy said to me that when I get back into Nashville later today (that is, after we get our luggage and leave the airport), we are going to see maman at the hospital. I can't wait to see her; when I see her, I am going to shower kisses and hugs ALL OVER her!! I missed her sooo much, and I have missed my brothers and sisters, and also my furry baby, "Cajun"! I will be sooo glad to see them when I get home, and I will be sooo glad when I get to my bed and my room! I missed it sooo much!! Daddy had as much fun in Cali as I did, and it helped having him here, I don't think I could have handled being here in California just by my lonesome!
I am glad that you, your daddy and maman, and the Williams and Mason families are all doing well; I have been praying for you guys practically nonstop! I hope I get to come out to Cali again; I would love to stay with you and go to your church (or maybe even your temple!)! I would let you come to my church, Christ Community Assembly of God, if you came out here, and I am sure that everyone at my church would be more than happy to have y'all come for a visit! We'd make you feel right at home! You would love my pastor, Pastor Bilkey; he is a great preacher, and he is also funny! He always manages to make me laugh!
Well, Rebekkah, I have to go now; we are coming in to St. Louis, Missouri; the plane we are on has to refuel, and we have an hour to kill before we go back on and continue our flight back home to Nashville. I will write more later; until then, you take care, and thanks again for being there for me when I was on tv! That was really cool! I hope to see you again soon!

Lively. It's a nice letter giving a glimpse into the atmosphere of life in America. It reminds me of a friend from the Bahamas who stayed with me during her time in Dublin. Very warm and lovingly written.
*You haven't added any poem since the acrostic one. I intended trying one too but I can't do it.
