Dear Journal~
Hi! Sorry for not writing sooner, but I have been busier than a centipede in a toe-counting contest, and I also have been sick the past several days with the stomach flu. ICK. I think I barfed up my toenails; but I am happy to say that I am FINALLY starting to feel a LITTLE bit better! At first, I thought I had food poisoning (we'd gone out to Chili's, and I had the Cajun steak; and about a half hour later, I got sick, violently sick), but maman took me to see Dr. Emmons, my doctor, and it seems that I don't have food poisoning at all: it is just a bad case of the stomach flu, which is going around, and it just happened to be my turn in getting it.
This is, as you may have guessed, Johnny. I am in bed, as I just said, trying to entertain my bored, sick little self, but it is hard to feel like doing something when you feel so crummy in the first place! But writing in here is better than feeling sorry for myself, you know??
My sister, Ronee', is on her way home here; she was in California the past several days, and she did really good on her tv show, I hear. She got the third highest score out of seven kids, and even though she didn't win, daddy said that everyone really liked her and that she did a really good job at singing. The show will be shown sometime this spring or summer on PAX, so I will have to look for it and see her performance for myself. I am so happy for her; she was really scared and nervous about going; but she seemed to pull herself together at the right moment, and she apparently did a super job! I do miss her though; it isn't the same without her here (let alone daddy; he went with Ronee' to Hollywood)! I also miss mommy; she had surgery two days ago, and she is recovering; but she probably won't get out until Sunday or Monday (that is, if she doesn't have anything happen to her!). I pray and hope that mommy doesn't get sick or get an infection because that would only mean that she would have to stay in the hospital longer, and I don't want that AT all! I have been praying my little heart out to God and the angels and to Jesus to protect mommy and to make her all better! We may see her later; I hope so! But it depends on how daddy or Ronee' feel when they get back from the airport!
My trip to Alaska is getting closer; I will probably be going there in a month or so. I am getting excited at the thought of staying with Sikik and her family; this is going to be sooo cool! (LITERALLY! LOL) I can't wait!! Barbara is going with me, so at least I don't have to go to Alaska by myself! I will soon be counting the weeks, and then the days, until I can go to Alaska! :)
Well, I have to barf again (ICK); got that yucky throw-uppety feeling again. ICK! I HATE doing that! I need something to settle my queasy tummy! So before I barf up Detroit, I am getting out of here. Bye!
~As always, your friend (who is now sick as a dog), Johnny. :(
