Ronee' is now back home in Tennessee after spending a few days in California; she writes of her experiences there, and of seeing her mother, who is recuperating from surgery in the hospital, among other things.

Dear Journal~
Hi! This is your friend, Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux, writing. I am back home in my room, and I am checking up on my mail and stuff on my computer. I also am enjoying the company of my adorable kitty, "Cajun", who is lying right beside me, just a purring her little furry head off. She is awfully glad to see me, and I am awfully glad to see her; I have missed my baby Maine Coon kitty sooo much! I am glad to see my bed, my curtains, my dresser, my desk, my clothes, my shoes, my country music posters...just everything!! :)
I had a ball in California; I was there for my taping of the show, "America's Most Talented Kids", and I am happy to report that I didn't mess up one time, and I am also happy to report that even though I didn't win, I still placed THIRD place! I was so surprised that I'd do that well! I also had the support of my daddy, and also my California friends, Rebekkah Rachel, the Williams bunch, and the Mason family, and it was cool hearing them cheering for me when I was on stage! I felt like a diva when I saw them holding signs and hearing them chanting my name over and over! I also got to meet the judges and the other contestants, and we had a ball backstage, exchanging email addys and phone numbers, and I also got to meet one of the stars of one of my very favorite sitcoms, "Full House", Dave Coulier, who played "Joey Gladstone" on the show (and is now hosting "America's Most Talented Kids")! I also got some more autographs, and I had my picture taken with the judges, some of the other contestants, and Dave Coulier!
While I was in Cali, besides going to my taping, we went to Disneyland in Anaheim, and we also went to the Hard Rock Cafe' in Los Angeles, and the Williams and Mason families threw a celebatory party for me for doing so well on the show, and it was kind of neat getting spoiled! :)
But yesterday, we left, and we got home in the later afternoon, and after we got in and got our stuff, we went to the hospital, to see maman, and I cried when I saw her lying in the bed. She was awake, but she was hurting, and she had an I.V. in her arm, and she was a little on the pale side. She cried when she saw me, and she gave me a huge hug, and told me that she was feeling better, but it would be at least until Monday before she got out and could come home. They were keeping her in the hospital to keep an eye on her and to make sure that she wasn't having any problems (and she wasn't). She had to use a walker when she got up to use the potty, and it was a slow, painful walk for her, but she made it to the potty and back to her bed. She would use the walker until she felt stronger; then she would probably use a cane until she was done recovering. But she wasn't having the pains down both legs like she had been having, so that was good to hear! I told her that I had placed third on the show, and she said that she was very proud of me.
But I have to stay away from Johnny, my brother: he has the stomach flu, and even though he IS feeling a LITTLE better, he is still sick, and I don't need that stuff. I absolutely LOATHE throwing up, and to me there is no worse feeling than losing your belly! UCH!!
I am looking forward to going to church tomorrow: I can see my friends, and I can see Pastor Bilkey, and I can let them know how I did in California; and I can also tell them the wonderful news of maman coming through surgery and that she will be getting out of the hospital probably on Monday if she continues to do as well as she is at the present time. I can also have them pray for Johnny and tell them that he is recovering from the stomach flu.
The weather is partly cloudy out, and kind of mild, with temps in the 50's. I do believe we are in for more cold days though; the weather here in Tennessee can be downright unpredictable! We may have rain by Monday, ick. I hate it when it rains because then my body plays havoc with me, and I DON'T like hurting or being in pain!! *OW*
Well, dear Journal, I think I will try to scare up something to do...answer emails, maybe play a game or two of Bookworm, or do some researching...or maybe I'll just get off the 'puter altogether and get outside and play for a while. I have to try to do my range of motion exercises, and being outside is a good way to do it! Yeah, that sounds good...I think I will do that...go out and let my friends know that I am home from California!
