Dear Kendra~
This is Bill Sandusky. Louie's husband. I am sitting here in my wife's hospital room, watching her sleep and listening to her purring: she is snoring softly, and she sounds like a baby kitten. She really looks cute!
I saw your message to her; I was so happy to hear that you will be getting Hope soon! What fanTAStic news! I am so happy; God is so good, isn't He?? When exactly is Hope coming, and didn't you say that she is from Japan? Well, we may be getting our two new Sri Lankan kids before the summer is on; we heard from our adoption attourney, who is handling the case, and she said that both Arjun and Rani have been flown here to the States, where they will have further medical testings and exams, and she said that Rani will probably continue to need her therapy. She is now walking (with help, but she IS walking), but her speech is still rather delayed; so she may very well need speech therapy. At least she can hear and see, and the brain damage isn't as extensive as doctors first feared. Glory be to God; He is performing a Miracle in our new daughter-to-be's life! Arjun appears to be in excellent health, but they will check him, just to make sure that he is okay. I can hardly wait until little Arjun and Rani are in our arms; oh, what a happy day that will be!
I am happy to say that Ronee' did wonderfully well on her show; she was nervous, but she handled herself like a trouper, and she pulled herself together right when it counted; and it attributed to her getting third place out of seven. I was so proud of her; she sounded just like a superstar! The judges just loved her, and Dave Coulier, the program's host, was quite impressed with her too!
I am happy to be back home; I have missed my wife, and I have missed the other kids terribly. You should have seen them when we got home from the airport: they were hanging all over us, and they would not shut up for a MINUTE!! It was like being right in the middle of a preschool class, what with the constant jabberings going on! The animals were happy to see us too, and "Cajun Gold", my wife's little Pomeranian, was so excited, she peed right on my SHOE! YUCK. There's nothing like a little dog p... to get one's attention! She was running around in circles, just yapping her little head off! And our horse..GREAT DANE.., "Marmie" ("Marmaduke") was so happy to see me he knocked me right on over, and he was licking my face to beat the band. He has terrible breath; I think a trip to the doggie dentist is in order for our Great Dane! Whew, his breath could curl your hair, it is so foul! *PEW!*
My wife did wonderfully tolerating her back surgery; she may be home as soon as Monday or Tuesday from the hospital, according to her doctor, Dr. Stryker. She did not have any problems whatsoever, and her recovery thus far has been uneventful, thank goodness! I pray it continues! She is feeling a little better, but it will be a while before she is completely healed, so we must remind her to take it easy as she mends. It will be hard for her as she has always been quite active, even with all her health problems; but if she knows what is good for her, she WILL listen to us!
How are YOU feeling, Kendra? Have you had any problems with your headaches or any other problems related to your spina bifida? I certainly hope not; you have had a lot on your plate as well! How are the girls faring? I bet they are excited about little Hopie's anticipated arrival! I am so happy for you; I wish I could be there to share in your happiness; but I just came back FROM California!
Well, I will let you go; Louie is stirring. I will have to see if she is okay. I will write more later; she will be thrilled when I tell her the news about little Hopie's arrival into your family!
