Louie Sandusky, feeling much better from her recent surgery, is happy to hear about the adoption of yet another child into Kendra's family; so she writes her a note of congratulations. Her husband, Bill, wrote a letter to her earlier.

Dear Kendra~
I am feeling much better; in fact, I am doing so well, my doctors, Dr. Stryker and Dr. Harlowe, are thinking of springing me out of here tomorrow! :) I am still in some pain and discomfort, but I am sure that will pass as I get to feeling better. I am feeling stronger each day, and they have been working with me for my physical therapy; and I am now walking again (albeit on a walker; I shall be on this walker for the time being; same with this annoying back brace!), so that is a step in the right direction. Best of all, I haven't had any sciatic nerve-related pain since my surgery, and it's been sheer HEAVEN! :)
This is your hospitalized friend, Louie, in case you haven't guessed by now. I was so happy to hear of the adoption of little Hope into your family; I am sure she is a little cutie! I bet she is overwhelmed by all the new things she has to see and experience; but all adopted kids go through that; it's part of the "transition phase" until they feel like they really belong. Luckily, with the majority of my adopted kids, the process only took a few weeks (maybe a few months at most), and they soon assimilated themselves into the family beautifully! Now they are truly brothers and sisters, and they get along famously (MOST of the time)!
I am sitting up in a chair as I write this; I am trying to watch something on tv that is worth watching; but it is all bad news or mind-numbing trash; so I am going to turn it off in a bit. There, that's better; I can now hear myself think! LOL I am also eating some jello and applesauce, and I am drinking a glass of iced water. The brace is pinching my back; every so often I go to move, and the brace bites me. *OW* Like it just did! LOL I guess I need to be more careful now, don't I? LOL STUPID back brace...But it sure helps when I need to cough or sneeze; that is the worst! *OW* So far, I have managed not to rip open the stitches, but boy, it sure does hurt when I sneeze or cough!
I saw Bill and Ronee' the other day when they got in from California, and both looked terrific! Both are now sporting new California tans, and they were so glad to see me; as I was them; and we really had a nice visit. I was so happy that Ronee' did as well as she did on "America's Most Talented Kids"; third place out of seven. Not too shabby! I am looking forward to watching her appearance on the telly this summer! They said they saw you, and they got to meet Louisa and Rebekkah, and they really had a wonderful time! I was so happy to hear that their California trip was a howling success! :)
Did Bill tell you that we were originally scheduled to go to Fort Worth, Texas, this past weekend? We were; we were going to see Loretta Lynn perform at Billy Bob's Texas on the 26th, but then we read that she was ill and had to cancel. I was so sorry to hear that; I hope (and pray) that it isn't anything serious. Loretta Lynn sure has had a time lately hasn't she? I shall keep her in my prayers; she is one of the sweetest performers around, and we have met her on numerous occasions! My daughter, Ronee', just loves her (as we do, but Ronee' is the biggest Loretta Lynn fan in our family!)! I don't know who performed in Loretta's place, but I bet there were a lot of disappointed people at Billy Bob's on Saturday! I hope whoever replaced Loretta put on a good show! I will have to see who performed for Loretta when I go to the Billy Bob's Texas website; that way, I will know! And maybe we will see who is coming up, and we can go to Billy Bob's another time! Maybe even Loretta will reschedule; one can only hope! :)
We also didn't go to Billy Bob's Texas because of my recent health problems; so Loretta Lynn isn't the only one who is ailing at the moment. I am happy the surgery is behind me; now I can concentrate on getting better and getting back into the swing of things as soon as my back heals! I hope I can go home tomorrow; I miss my baby Pom, and I miss the kids and my hubby! There is only so much one can do in the hospital, and whoever said that they get rest in a hospital is a durn LIAR!! I haven't had much sleep since I came out from under my anesthesia, and I am TIRED! *YAWNING HUGELY*
So on that note, Kendra, I will let you go; I am going to try to get some shut eye before they come and take my blood or give me another durn pill! ARRGGHHH!! I will write you later upon my return home; again, I should be home sometime tomorrow. I can't wait! Take care, give your new little one a HUGE HUG from me, and God bless you all as you enjoy your newest daughter! I am so happy for you I could just bust! :)
