Dear Jenna Aurora~
Hullo! How are you doing? I have been thinking about you, and I was wondering how you are doing. I hope you are doing well, and I hope that Michael is too.
I am still in some discomfort, but at lesat the worst of the pain is behind me. I am also not having as much pain in my sciatic nerve as I did prior to the surgery, but despite the back brace that I have to wear (and using a walker when I am up and about; it is a royal pain in the REAR!!), I feel better than I have in a very long time. At least I am home from the hospital, and at least the surgery is behind me. I can now concentrate on getting better, and to tell you the truth, I kind of enjoy getting waited on hand and foot by my family, and I kinda' like staying home from work! But I DO miss my co-workers, and I miss the excitement that my job often brings. I also miss getting up early every morning and enjoying the morning drive to the hospital.
Are you getting around any better, Jenna? I pray and hope you are. I know it is not easy when you can only use one arm or hand or move one leg, but at least YOU are WALKING. You aren't spending all your time in your wheelchair; at least you can get out and enjoy what life has to offer, and that you have a loving, caring husband who puts your needs first over his. There aren't many men like your Michael around today, and you are very blessed in having him in your life! I am very blessed in having my husband, Bill, in mine: he is very generous, kind, thoughtful, deeply religious, and quite emotional: he isn't afraid to cry in public, and he isn't afraid to tell you how he feels, unlike a lot of men today. No wonder so many men have so many problems because they don't know how to handle their problems or open up to someone they can confide in! They feel that since they are men, they can handle any problem that may come their way, no matter how major or how small they are; and as you and I both know, this can be next to impossible at times!
How is the weather there in Anchorage? Is it still bitterly cold there? Has it been sunny, or have you had snow (or rain)? Here we have had several days of rain, but it is supposed to clear on out of here, and it is supposed to be sunny for the next several days, with high temperatures in the 50's to the mid-to-upper 60's by week'e end. Have you seen any of the auroras yet? They should be starting up this month or next; aurora season is fast approaching!
Johnny is really getting excited: his Alaska trip is next month, and Sikik is really looking forward to seeing him again and having him spend some time with her and her family. I know this will be quite a learning experience for him, as he will experience a totally different culture that is so unlike his own; and he will have plenty of stories to tell upon his return back to Tennessee! Johnny has been well; his health has been holding out, and he continues to do quite well at school. I will tell him that you say hello, okay?
Ronee' did very well on her show: she got third place out of seven contestants, and Bill says that she did a wonderful job in singing "A Moment Like This" by Kelly Clarkson. He was so proud of her! Her show will be shown sometime this summer on PAX, and we are really looking forward in seeing it! She did have some big surprises happen to her while she was out there in California: her friends the Williams family (as well as the Mason family; they are friends to the Williams family; they live close by to one another in Soulsbysville) and Rebekkah Cohen, were at the studio, to root her on, and it really touched her. Ronee' is doing well healthwise either, and like Johnny, her health has been holding out quite nicely. Hope it lasts; I hate it when Johnny or Ronee' (ANY of my kids, really) get sick, especially if they have to go into the hospital!
Well, Jenna, I know this is short, but I have to feed the kids and then be at church NO later than six. I will write more later; until then, take care, and God bless you and Michael! Love and miss you both!
